In the city of Neverwinter, a dwarf named Gundran Rockseeker asked you to bring a wagonload of provisions to the rough and tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple of days travel southeast of the city. Gundren was clearly excited and more than secretive about his reasons for the trip, saying only he and his brothers had found “something big,” and that he’d pay ten gold pieces each for escorting his supplies safely to Barthen’s Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to “take care of business.” You’ve been on the path for about two and a half days. As you turn a corner around a bend, you spot two dead horses sprawled fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the path. You can see these are Gundran’s and Sildar’s horses, but there is no sight of them. Each horse has several black feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close one the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.
Flynt, the broad-shouldered silver dragonborn adjusts his armor as he notices the horses. He's been on the road with his companions for the last two days, getting to know them while sharing small bits about himself. "Those poor horses," he says.

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
I cast mage armor on myself and duck away between the payload. I ask gale: "what do you think. Any danger ahead?" " You could take the horses. We could eat them or sell them in phandalin."
As Flynt walks over Onak will nod at the direction of the eyes in the bush and ask: "Do you think we can drag these horses out of the way to clear a path so we can continue our journey?"
I am trying to put on an act to enable us to get closer to whatever is in the bushes
Bobin ducks even further in the payload and moans:” this is no easy ride. I’m not getting paid enough to risk my life here.” in his hand a small flame starts to flicker in anticipation of what is to come.

Al the bard
You can’t see anything new with your perception check.
Gale doesn’t spend much time focusing on the horses, he will look around for anything like tracks or traces of people

Oh my rolls suck

You don’t spot anything.
“We should still travel forward, just stay alert for anything trying to kill us”

OOC: I screwed up and posted Onak's perception check on the other forum topic (it was a 24)
But I will re-roll here in case it's needed : re-roll 21
Templar32
You can keep your original post roll. Out of the corner of your eye you spot an eye peeking out of a bush, someone is hiding in the shrubs!
Onak grips his great ax and will say to the others: "we have company hiding in the bushes"
How far away are the bushes?
Templar32
The bush were you saw the eye is about 40 feet away.
Onak will act like he is going to examine the horses as he edges closer to the bushes if possible.
Gale will get ready his crossbow
“eyes up folks”
Flynt will walk over to the horses and pretend to examine them as well.
