"Ah gotcha, so you're just like the rest of us then and got wrapped up in all of this craziness by chance." Aeros begins with a chuckle, "Well hopefully Zabriss is at the cave and we can settle this business rather quickly." Taking the last sip of his drink, he looks around the rest of the table and asks, "Well I'm ready to head out whenever. Shall we?"
"I've just arrived in town," Sila admits, "I've been... travelling, a lot recently. Found myself here. Things have become much more bizarre since I arrived here."
"I've just arrived in town," Sila admits, "I've been... travelling, a lot recently. Found myself here. Things have become much more bizarre since I arrived here."
"I think things have become a bit bizarre for all of us over the past day; I doubt any of us were expecting to become bounty hunters when we arrived here!" Aeros comments with a booming laugh. "And travelling huh... been anywhere exciting recently?"
(Alright, everyone got a short rest, so we'll say y'all are heading up the mountain~ This usually takes about six hours, but someone roll me a Survival check and we'll see what happens)
You all make your way out of the Sootswallow Lodge and weave through the lower levels, making your way up. You eventually leave the smoky atmosphere of the city for cleaner mountain air as you begin your hike up the treacherous heights of the Silberquel Ridge. The steep climb grows more and more precarious as you go, with pathways becoming thin and hard to traverse among the cliff-side trees and gray rock of the mountainside. You keep the silver line of the tumbling waterfall always in your sights, a guide toward your hopeful destination.
"As an answer to your previous question," Sila says as they walk, "I find most places I explore interesting, though I doubt that many other people would see it that way."

"Until recently, I haven't really traveled much myself to be honest. But from what I've seen so far, the world's a pretty interesting place!" Aeros replies.
As the party makes their way up the ridge, Aeros is amiably humming a tune to himself while trying to keep a general lookout for the cavern or anything else particularly interesting that he might see along the way.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Menodora follows quietly, mindful from personal experience of what a wrong move or otherwise might do on a precarious mountainside such as this one.
"Interesting, but also admittedly a bit terrifying and confusing at times," she jokes quietly, holding the straps of her pack as she follows the others, "If you'd told me that when I left Uthodern, I'd wind up chasing down fugitives, I'd have told you, you were absolutely ridiculous."

Menodora Ercanbald - Level One (Variant) Human Bard - Tales from Wildemount
As you all walk, Menodora notices small tracks in the dirt, heading up the mountains. She recognizes them as belonging to kobold feet and points them out to everyone else. You are all able to move much quicker up the mountain with the tracks to follow, cutting your time from six hours to three.
You have no idea,Aeros thinks to himself regarding Menodora's comment regarding how confusing and terrible the world could be. Trying to bury the thought, he begins to laugh to himself as he turns to the woman and replies "Neither did I! But I suppose becoming bounty hunters for a couple of days will be a good story to tell one day don't you think?"
Somehow sensing something come towards him, Aeros manages to duck at the last moment and watches a crossbow bolt clang against the cliffside. Drawing his swords, he'll rise and swivel his head around looking for whoever just attacked him.
Menodora nods at Aeros, "I suppose if our luck holds out, it might be a very intriguing tale one day."
Not that their luck does hold out all that much, not that she had expected it to. The events of the past few days considered, and the obvious footpaths of the Kobolds. She'll draw a dagger just in case someone tries to get close.
