Geist is in the shop, looking around. "hiya, cheif, uhh maybe you can help me, I'm new in town, if I wanted to kill orcs alongside a few buddies, what would I buy in the "total of 10 gold" range?"
"Well I'd suggest you to look around! With all the gear I have, I couldn't suggest one thing." (This dwarf can sells every non magical item in the armor, weapons or adventuring gear section on the player's handbook)
(Are we tracking ammunition, or do we not have to worry about that? Also, @Sparkrotfang, don't forget the reward gold we got.)
Eliar will purchase a bag of caltrops, some chalk, and a grappling hook. He looks at the nets. "These might also be useful, but I'm not skilled at them myself."
Is it possible from the rough map to tell if they're going far enough that tents or bedrolls would be worth purchasing? He'd buy a bedroll if they'd have to travel overnight, and a tent if it's several days to get there, but I kind of doubt it.

so, it doesn't say no or yes to buffs, but it does let me repair things. good to know for when we get there.
((let me know when y'all are ready, going to post my actions for the morning))
Lurrinthis wakes up early the next morning feeling refreshed and recovered from the previous days activities. Assembling his gear he heads down to the common room to find tea/coffee if available and something for breakfast.
"Excuse me, breakfast, I'll take whatever you are making in the back and I would like some bread, cheese, apples and cured meats for the road if you have it."
Settling in for his meal Lu will wait for his new companions with the unrealistic expectation that everyone gets up as early as he does.
Geist stumbles in to the dining area, irritated and the smell of smoke on him. "...teach that gnome to get grabby with my shit in the middle of the night." turning to the keep, he asks "whaddaya got for early-morning food?"
Hearing the others rise and presumably go for breakfast, Zacharias finishes his morning meditation. He had been awake at the crack of dawn seeking to clarify his thoughts and confirm that he was on the correct path.
Upon finding his new acquaintances within the Inn's dining area. Zach approaches them, "Morning Lu, Geist. Is this not a most glorious morning? There are so many possibilities as to how this day may unfold."
With that Zach takes a seat and orders whatever the others are having.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(I'm certainly good to go!)
When Richter awakens the next morning the word refresh is far from mind. But he was awake all the same with slightly heavier bags under his eyes, laying out the cards on his bedroom floor and occasionally waving something or other off while reading and half-mumbling through the story that came to mind upon flipping one final card.

You reach out to spirits who tell their tales through you. While you are holding your Spiritual Focus, you can use a bonus action to expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and roll on the Spirits’ Tales table using your Bardic Inspiration die to determine the tale told. You retain the tale in mind until you bestow the tale’s effect or you finish a short or long rest.
You can use an action to choose one creature you can see within 30 feet of you (this can be you) to be the target of the tale’s effect. Once you do so, you can’t bestow the tale’s effect again until you roll it again.
You can retain only one of these tales in mind at a time, and rolling on the Spirits’ Tales table immediately ends the effect of the previous tale. If the tale requires a saving throw, the DC equals your spell save DC.
Runaway. You tell the tale of an adventurer that could escape an confinement. The target can immediately use its reaction to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. When the target teleports, it can choose a number of creatures it can see within 30 feet of it up to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) to immediately use the same reaction.
"Wait.... heh... I see you lot have about as much faith in me as always." He grinned and with a bit of slight of hand the card disappears before he gathers up the rest of the deck, and heads down for breakfast.
"Many possibilities, but one guaranteed for us, I imagine." Richter said aloud as he entered the room, grinning brightly and waving to all. "Which unfortunately for some Orcs revolve around the idea of their heads not likely being attached to their shoulders. A real pity, that is. But alas, they've brought that upon themselves." He concludes as he takes his seat with the rest, and order his own small and simple meal.
"Better for us and the town that way. And at least if there's a ring leader organizing these raids, we can see about dealing with them, before they get it in their mind to use the townsfolk as hostages during a raid." Richter casually explained as he set into his meal. "And while some of you may be a bit less concerned about such things-..." He regards Giest and smiled cheekily. "It is certainly harder to collect on a bounty if said hostage or townsfolk happens to die in the raid."
"Besides! Seeing as they've taken up residence in some dwarven ruins, there's always the appropriation of any forgotten trinkets there--" He glances to the goliath next. "For good causes, of course."

Elinar has all his gear with him, but he's taking his time over a light breakfast -- tea, toast, some fruit. He's reviewing the map. Is there a route that the orcs took on the map, or just points of interest? If there is a route, do there appear to be other potential routes the party could take?
Zach considers Richter's words, "If such trinkets can be used to aid us in defeating the orc menace, then surely they are better used than left to collect dust. If that is by raising funds, so be it."
Geist is in the shop, looking around. "hiya, cheif, uhh maybe you can help me, I'm new in town, if I wanted to kill orcs alongside a few buddies, what would I buy in the "total of 10 gold" range?"
Zach nods in response to Lu's announcement, "Well said friend, see you on the morrow."
He spends the rest of the evening enjoying his time in the Inn with the locals and any of the other party members before also retiring for the night.
