To Herne: "Better yet my friend, let me introduce you to the group and you can present your case." Sandow sees some of his friends heading back to the inn, which seems as good a place as any to have this discussion. "Come, let's have an ale and I'll make the introductions at one sitting so there will be no need for repeating." Having said that, Sandow heads back to the inn.
Herne regards Alaric "The mine is to the south M'lord. Near the town of Dougan's hole in the foothills of the Spine."
Herne looks at Sandow "you just got in, by all that's proper I should have waited at least a day to allow you to settle in a bit. How about I let your folks enjoy at least one night and call in the morning after breaking fast?"
"One night may be the extent of our gold as well, but it is a good suggestion." To the group "what say you friends? This man, whom I will vouch for, has a need, gold, adventure, and we in fact could do with many of those things."
Hearing the door and seeing Alaric and Sandow return with a guest, Vor is relieved. After hearing the tale of the mine and the lost brothers, Vor says, "I believe this is a worthy calling, for battle and for family; I say yes."
“I’m up for trip to check out the mine, or anything else that would pertain to goblins or orcs causing problems. That there might be a bit of coin is all for the good.” Vrajitor tells everyone concerned. “But a good night’s sleep is in order now.” He will sleep where ever is available.

Rowan, still at her table in the corner, glanced up when she hears her companions having a conversation. She only manages to catch the last couple sentences. “Um, I guess I’m in if they’re in.” With that, she sticks her nose back in her book.
The next morning come. but one would never know because of the absence of the sun. Still, the beds were comfortable and the morning breakfast was hearty and filling. discussions take place about the equipment that will need to be replaced and such.
OOC: please attend to last minute shopping needs. once we leave town, if it isn't on your character sheet, you don't have it.
As the weather seems to be getting worse and we have a wagon, Sandow would like to make sure we have enough blankets, cloaks, spare boots, lean-to material (like some hide or tarp-material) for the mounts to have some shelter (we can cut the poles from scavenged timber, but we'll need the cloth).
Herne will also be more than willing to give the group the 150GP for their promise of aid. The money can go to purchasing equipment for the group or can be split amongst the members.
Prices for the goods are reduced once it is made clear that you all are helping Herne and the twins. all prices standard PHB

"Billie!" Alaric exclaims, "Make sure our horses are ready and heat their blankets safely near the fire until we are ready to leave"
He then calls Vernon and says "Secure some decent food for you, Billie, and I. Something tells me it will be a while till we have another proper meal."
"Also Vernon, have Billie get some bags of oats for our mounts. I'm sure they'd like it mixed with this honey" Alaric hands him a small cup of honey for him and Billie to taste later.
Alaric also hands him a letter and says "For my father"
Sandow spends the early morning checking his gear, making sure everything is 'battle ready' and takes the time to grab a quick breakfast. He sees to his mount making sure that a light meal and water is had before the journey. "Another town and more miles behind us old friend." says Sandow as he brushes down his old friend. "Someday we'll settle down, get fat and happy, but today is not that day."
"So, how far are we traveling?" Vrajitor asks. "Will we have enough food? I have 10 days rations." He will use his share to by three hand axes and two bundles of arrows. Several days later finds the group headed south towards the Spine mountain range. The took the road for a day or so, since then it’s been flat country with scrub and small hills breaking up the dark snowy tundra. By Rowan's word it is now evening, and the mounts have gone all day. Vrajitor returned from his east range a few minutes ago, Herne has not returned from the west ranging yet.
Belthran suggests finding a suitable spot to to pitch up for the night, get the horses settled, the tents up and some food in their bellies. "Not fish" he adds cheerfully.
He then evokes a light to illuminate either side of the trail in order to better see a suitable location where they can park the wagon; one where it won't roll away or get bogged down, as well as flat ground for the tents. As he does so, he sings a mournful dirge in the deep throaty tones of the language of giants.
"Where is this mine of yours?"
