As you turn towards the island, and start to close, a strange thing happens. Out of calm air, and without warning, a mass of clouds starts to form over the ship itself. This happens at a bit before it would have reached the 2-mile point, so everyone is still aboard the ship.
"Storm stations!" Augus shouts, sending the crew rushing off to their posts.
Even as this is happening shapes seem to form out of the swirling storm clouds, winged shapes. They resolve into harpies, swooping through the clouds around the ship.

Xerronios DEX: 18
Xerronios tries to grab the railing as the storm hits but a violent gust of wind catches him at the same time a wave rocks the ship and he misses his grip and tumbles over the side and falls into the water.
ooc: My rolls in this campaign have been terrible :)
Ritha manages to catch her balance, hissing at the harpies that are surrounding the ship. She jumps as she hears a splash, and looks just in time to see Xerronios disappearing into the water.
"Ugh!" she yells, looking back at the harpies overhead and preparing a spell to bless herself, Kanlos, and Xerronios.
(edit: actually, I'm just going to bless Ritha, Kanlos, and Xerronios after all, he's already overboard XD)
Seeing Xerrinos falling overboard, Io turns to Ritha and says, "You are from the sea yes? Do you think you can save our bard? I will try to keep the Harpies off your back."
With that Io points to one of the Harpies...
If disadvantage due to weather: Io will cast Toll the Dead on the most damaged Harpy. WIS14 or take 11 Necrotic (3 If none of them are damaged)
If no disadvantage due to weather: Io will cast Chill Touch on the most damaged Harpy. Hit: 22 Dmg: 4 Necrotic
He will also move to put himself between the party and the Harpies, trying to draw attacks to keep the party safe.
Ritha finishes casting her blessing on herself, Kanlos, and Xerrinos, then turns to Io and nods curtly. She runs to the edge of the ship and throws the rope ladder over the side (or if non exists, ties a rope to her grappling hook, hooks it to the railing, and throws the rope over the edge), before diving off the side gracefully. Cutting into the water, she swims directly for Xerrinos.
Group As you cling to the ship, Xerrinos goes flying overboard. Ritha casts a blessing on several of you, then dives in after Xerrinos, leaving a rope lader ready for use climbing back out of the sea.
Yes attacks are with disadvantage...
Kanlos Despite the winds and clouds, not to mention the heaving of the ship under him, Kanlos manages to sink an arrow into one of the harpies.
Io You cannot see them well enough to find the one Kanlos shot, so just aim at which ever is most clear in the swirling clouds. The harpy shrieks in pain as she is injured by the spell.

Io quickly rushes to the h3 to aid Ethan, the officer. He points at the Harpy and before long, it finds itself surrounded by tiny sickles which move with the wind to slash at it. The whirlwind of spectral blades if followed by a deafening tolling that only the harpyt can hear.

Kassiopeia DEX save: 13
Kassiopeia get caught off guard when the storm sets in and barely manages to sling her arms around the mast as she was walking to the fore.
Seeing Xerronios ahead of her loosing his hold on the rail and slide across the deck Kassiopeia inhales sharply.
Seeing Xerronios slip and fall over board she yells „CAT OVER BOARD!“
Kanlos dex save: 24
As soon as the harpies are within range, he’d draw his bow and ready a steady shot for the nearest.
(Advantage from steady aim, but might be at disadvantage from weather, either way, first roll was a 23, 6 damage.)
((Wait. Is it too late to burn my Inspiration to give Xerrinos Advantage on his DEX save?))
Go ahead with the advantage save. I'll summarize this initial part once that is done.
ooc: so, one more roll.
DEX: 8
ooc: Well...thanks anyway....remember that part about sucky rolls.
