Delmalis turns to face the one engaged with him and unleashes his fists and feet to put it back down where it belongs, feeling an unusual amount of scorn for these mindless undead.
"Expect more I believe," Sybil state as she stash her rod away, "Looks like we are the gate of the enemy. We need to be ready. Be vigilant, be ready for much more undead," She takes a few minutes to give an inspiring speech to give 12 temp hp to everyone.

With the undead vanquished for now, you leave for The Twited Tiefling. The path is clear as you walk down the street. As you approach The Tiefling Twister you hear Gark and the mercenaries inside. Not a single one of them sounds scared or intimidated. In fact they all sound pretty jovial.
You walk inside the tavern, a small place with a couple windows on either side, a handful of tables in the middle where around a dozen locals drink the fear away. Behind the bar stands Gark, a huge muscular half-orc who waves you over. Seeing Vivian, he smiles. “Good, the mayor sent you. Thanks for your help. Hopefully you’ll have a stronger constitution than this lot."
"Excuse me! Gark" yells a red-haired gnome woman in armor standing next to a dog who's as big as her. Next to her is a bearded, dark-skinned half-elf petting a black bear.
Gark laughs. "I'm just kidding Burnice. I know you and Travancore are worth more than most of the mercenaries."
Across from Burnice and Travancore are a bearded tiefling and a human, both sporting a red gi. Burnice approaches the group and looks everyone over, and smiles as she sees a fellow gnome in Twitch. Twitch, you also pick up a faint familiar scent on Burnice, a couple of them actually. One that belonged to Quarlton (half-orc barbarian) and JMM (Order wizard who helped Meep with his paperwork) back in Waterdeep.
Gark bends down and picks up a large chest. He slams it on the bar but before he opens the chest he turns to Demalis and Sybil. "An old healer gave me this chest years ago, and said I would know when to use it. It seems he was right.”
Inside the chest are seven wooden stakes, 3 vials of holy water, and a Sunblade, a longsword that has 2 charges of the spell Daylight.
Twitch stalked up to Burnice and gave her a sniff then rubbed their temple on her shoulder....what was that smell....?
Perception: 6
Burnice raises an eyebrow and turns to Travancore, who nods. "It kind of reminds me of Quarlton when we first met him," he says. "I'm Travancore, viceroy of Glenmar and my bear friend is Shadow. This is my friend Burnice Q. Burns. You can call her Burnie."
Burnie smiles at her dog. "Cocosnoot, be nice." Twitch, you watch as Burnie's wardog begins to sniff you as does Shadow, who approaches you with a little more restraint.

" Twitch.", said Twitch distractedly as they began interacting with the dog and the bear, doing their level best to exchange as many scents and information as possible.....there may have been purring.
Meep studies the contents of the chest, but looks over and grins as he sees Twitch making new friends. "Gark, is there anything more you can tell us about what we face up ahead? I'm gathering it's ...vampiric in nature?"
Gark nods at Meep. "There was a creeping fog around Twilight Hall and a couple of bodies with puncture wounds in their necks. Yes it is that in nature."

Stake to the Heart. If a piercing weapon made of wood is driven into the vampire’s heart while the vampire is incapacitated in its resting place, the vampire is paralyzed until the stake is removed.
As for holy water, if you throw it at a fiend or undead, it takes 2d6 radiant damage.
In-game, vampire weakness is mostly common knowledge and it's likely you'd all hear about it at some point, especially since Waterdeep has a well-known vampire lord in the Baron of Blood.

Delmalis shrugs and picks up a stake as well, "Better than nothing, but mostly useful when they're already down. Anything special to actually kill one? As for a throwing arm, I picked up this sling recently, should help."

Twitch looks mildly disappointed as their opponent falls, " More?"
"You never know what might be bumping in the night, dear friend," says Rotthran as he wipes his daggers clean on the ghoul's clothes.
