"Gaoch! You alright!?" Mia hates to see her friends injured. And she hates even more someone who injures her friends. Another sharp stone flies toward the cultist who is about to attack the Harpers.
Initially startled by Red's vial, Gaoch then briefly smiles while he sidesteps to give the alchemist more room to step into the frontline as all of his wounds magically heal "Thank ye, mate! Making the job o' ridding us of these fools a lot easier!" to which Mathis just grimly stares at him, nodding and standing in a defensive stance that is quickly mirroed by Gaoch, blades in front of them.
((Both Gaoch and Mathis Dodge))
Just as the group settles in the frontline, shots from Mihris and Mialee both go wide, clattering against the old and faded tapestry on the northern alcove.
His hatred of the invaders fueling him against Vanys' spell, the robed figure with a thin dark line of blood streaming from his temple resists the sorcerer's mind magic, advancing along with the other bloodthirsty cultists against you. The cultists shuffle into position at the narrow corridor, attacking the available targets. Unable to reach the frontline, the cultist in the back produces a dagger and throws it at Red.
Cultist vs Mathis: 14 / Damage: 5 slashing Cultist vs Mathis: 15 / Damage: 6 slashing Cultist vs Gaoch: 5 / Damage: 3 slashing Cultist vs Red: 6 / Damage: 3 piercing (+2 AC from half-cover due to another Cultist)
Even standing defensively, the barrage of blades set against Mathis is enough to pierce his defense and two deep gashes on his chest are enough to bring him down, and before his unconscious body hits the icy floor, a worried "No!" shout from his nearby husband echoes across the tunnels.
Seeing Mathis go down, Vanys decides that staying back is no longer going to be an option. Frustrated that his spell wasn't able to take effect against the cultist that was already injured, Vanys points his arm forward and sends another psychic spike into the same cultist's mind. Meanwhile, he draws one of his daggers into his free hand and makes his way across the rest of the bridge. He doesn't engage in the melee yet but positions himself close enough to get there quickly if needed.

There are too many of them! Mia bites her lip in frustration. If she still has Entangle could have caught and tied these cultists up already. But it's no mean of crying for the moon. The little druid remembers the teaching of her mentor. "Even if one pebble can not beat an opponent , don't try to hurl a rock which you can lift up. Throw hundreds of stones at them!"So Mia does what her master said.

((The frontline has (north-south) on enemy side: 1. Acid-burned cultist barely hanging, 2. Rock-to-the-head cultist, 3. Fresh cultist that used door as cover to dodge the acid; then on ally side (north-south): 1. Dying Mathis, 2. Red, 3. Gaoch; another acid-burned cultist stands beyond the frontline, but he just threw his single dagger and is about to draw a scimitar and maybe join the fray; some greyed out bodies are sharing the square, I tried dragging them a bit to the side for a better view, not perfect))
Just as Mathis goes down bleeding, Mialee finds the gap she needed to land another magic-imbued stone on the cultist. Though this one isn't as precisely-landing as the previous one, it is still enough to bring him down spinning, unsure of what really hit him.
((Mialee's shot would have missed due to +2 AC from half-cover, though with Mathis down and a new gap there, it was just enough))
Throwing caution to the wind, Gaoch retreats and moves over to his husband's unconscious body as the cultist in front of him takes advantage of his lowered defense to risk a cut with his rusty blade. The cultist's old blade bites into Gaoch's side as he crouches and drags Mathis away from the frontline, retreating towards the bridge.
Unharmed cultist's OA vs Gaoch: 5 / 2 slashing

Meanwhile, the cultists lick their lips at their falling enemies, seemingly undisturbed by an also fallen ally as they advance with blades in hand against Red. The one cultist newly assaulted by Vanys' spells eyes him with hatred as he sidesteps the alchemist and finds his way towards the sorcerer.

However clumsy, it seems that Gaoch's attempts to stop his husband's bleeding were successful. Vanys narrowly dodges the cultist's blade, while Red parries away the first one, but is unable to avoid the second, with draws a red line over his thigh.

Dodge Action. If they try to move past me, Red will take an attack of oporutnity on them. Which GM can roll if it comes up. Red's going defensive after taking a heavy hit but dying folks behind him.
Mihris finally remembered that there was something she still could do much better than her pathetic unwilling attempts to kill someone! She ran to Mathis and carefully administered to the unconscious man her only Potion of Healing.

With more frustrated determination than martial expertise, Vanys advances around Red's shielded bulwark with one long blade in each hand. Caught by surprise at this new tactic, the badly burned cultists offer little resistance to his attacks, and each swipe is enough to bring down a cultist previously blocking the passage east. The corridor is now filled in a dark slick pool of both coagulating and freezing blood from the many corpses lying carelessly.
Meanwhile in the back line, the priestess Mihris advances over the inert body of Mathis administering a vial to the scout's lips. The potent and pungent liquid quickly awakens the man, who looks to each side in surprise, somewhat unsure of his surroundings at first, but quickly switching to a thankful nod for the priestess as he takes account of what happened.
Potion of Healing on Mathis: 9
The single remaining and previously unharmed cultist stands nervously surrounded by enemies, eyes wide open in a crazy glare and grimacing. An enchanted stone flies true from Mialee in the back and hits the cultist on the chest, taking the air out of his lungs. As he struggles for air again, he looks over in all directions and sees no escape, "Frostmaiden... take me!" and slashes his own throat with the rusty scimitar he wielded, his body quickly falling inert on the floor, adding to the growing pool of blood.
A silence now fills the corridor, contrasting with the cacophony of battle shouts, blades, and magic. Curiously, the shouting previously heard coming from the room ahead also dims, and their echoes are barely heard now.

Taking a moment to collect himself, and double check his own wound', and assessing his allies, Red breaths out a sigh. "So.. that was a lot. How are we doing? Red searches the corpses,18 alone or with help.
