What your character had for Lunch:
JK!
What you had for breakfast or dinner would also be acceptable.
Open for a few days, or until I find 3 or 4 fun people and decide to start. You can PM me with spoilers regarding your character.
I'll be figuring this out as we go. So, newbs are welcome. There's no fine print or disclaimer... I'm sure I'll come up with some after a first go... for now, it's just a fun attempt for me to run a game Pbp and learn what works and what doesn't?
More than five hundred years ago, clans of dwarves and gnomes made an agreement known as the Phandelver’s Pact, by which they would share a rich mine in a wondrous cavern known as Wave Echo Cave. In addition to its mineral wealth, the mine contained great magical power. Human spellcasters allied themselves with the dwarves and gnomes to channel and bind that energy into a great forge (called the Forge of Spells), where magic items could be crafted. Times were good, and the nearby human town of Phandalin (pronounced fan-duh-lin) prospered as well. But then disaster struck when orcs swept through the North and laid waste to all in their path.
A powerful force of orcs reinforced by evil mercenary wizards attacked Wave Echo Cave to seize its riches and magic treasures. Human wizards fought alongside their dwarf and gnome allies to defend the Forge of Spells, and the ensuing spell battle destroyed much of the cavern. Few survived the cave-ins and tremors, and the location of Wave Echo Cave was lost.
For centuries, rumors of buried riches have attracted treasure seekers and opportunists to the area around Phandalin, but no one has ever succeeded in locating the lost mine. In recent years, people have resettled the area. Phandalin is now a rough-and-tumble frontier town. More important, the Rockseeker brothers — a trio of dwarves — have discovered the entrance to Wave Echo Cave, and they intend to reopen the mines.
Unfortunately for the Rockseekers, they are not the only ones interested in Wave Echo Cave. A mysterious villain known as the Black Spider controls a network of bandit gangs and goblin tribes in the area, and his agents have followed the Rockseekers to their prize. Now the Black Spider wants Wave Echo Cave for himself, and he is taking steps to make sure no one else knows where it is.
Have yet to actually do LMoP... Feeling like being a bit weird so:
Night’s Silver Lining (aka Silver)
Tabaxi
Sorcerer
For lunch Silver had some apples that “fell” off the trees in the orchard over there. They landed on this side of the fence, so they were fair game... And the leftover roasted badger from last night. It wasn’t the fanciest meal but when forced to walk between towns one scraped together what one can...
Tabaxi is fun. Apparently a Tabaxi Monk with Boots of Speed at high level can break through the speed of sound! I haven't done the math thing to find out if that's true, but there's something to shoot for!
Lol to y'all. Thanks for picking up on my tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. First to roll stats and / or send me a link to a character made on DDB is in!
Heh, don't stress, this ain't homework. Open for a few days.
Point buy is my preference for stats, you can PM a character sheet link from D&D Beyond.
Backstory: Alarion is a promising young mage who hails from Silverymoon. One of his ancestors on the human side was a mage in Phandelver before the disaster. He grew up with his father in a small village not far from Silverymoon, his mother disappeared when he was very young. One day, an evil wizard attacked the village. Though it was destroyed, Alarion managed to, with the help of his neighbors, defeat the mage. Though he was too kind-hearted to kill the man, he stripped him of his gear, including his spellbook. He found the contents fascinating, and moved to Silverymoon to study magic. He was gifted a new spellbook similar in design to the mage's, but more suited for his noble heart.
What he had for lunch: Nothing. He was too busy studying and forgot to eat.
Kathrine ate a meat pie at a street vender in Neverwinter for breakfast. For lunch she had a tankard of ale and some meet and cheese from the inn she is currently staying at in town.
Hmm, so Tortle isn't just a chocolate or a lame attempt at replicating anime for the North American audience. Interesting. So is monk, because that's my main as PC lol, and the rest would work too.
An Eldritch Knight - cool - Would you be ok on the front lines with archery as your choice at level 1? Tea and Scones huh... not sure about you ;)
- flexible Silver, who could be a sorcerer or fighter
- Rowen Acre, human rogue
- Alarion Amanodel, Half-Elf Wizard
- Kathrine Westridge, Cleric
- Cail, Vuman Fighter
I assume Cail meant 'human' fighter. Thank you for offering your skills Cail. We seem to have the best rounded party I can imagine! I think Silver can choose what class he wishes, although it's always good to have another who is capable on the front lines.

Breakfast this morning was two roc eggs scrambled, with toast, and side of ham. Downed with a glass of Neverwinter white wine. Never to early for wine!
This would also be my first PBP. I am out of town tell Sunday so if I get lucky and get to go on this adventure with you all I couldn't post right away.
If you guys can provide a character sheet built in DDB or equivalent and send me a working link in PM, we might get the dice rolling in a matter of hours. RP encouraged, not all hack and slash though that's fun too. I'll close the thread when I know we have a well rounded party set to go. I said 3-4 at first, but it really takes 5 to round out all the archetypes, so that's good, and better to have more in case anyone drops out.

Hmmmm... might have tasted better if the left over badger was stuffed with apples and done rotisserie style, but, well, when adventuring...
Tabaxi is fun. Apparently a Tabaxi Monk with Boots of Speed at high level can break through the speed of sound! I haven't done the math thing to find out if that's true, but there's something to shoot for!
Unless the speed of sound is hoarding treasure, what for the need to break it?
I've always wanted to try this one!
Name: Rowen Acre

Even if I'm not chosen, have a lot of fun with it!
Name: Kathrine Westridge
Race: Custom Lineage (Tasha's)
Class: Cleric (Peace)
Background: Acolyte
Backstory:
Kathrine ate a meat pie at a street vender in Neverwinter for breakfast. For lunch she had a tankard of ale and some meet and cheese from the inn she is currently staying at in town.
You guys are all good... but who will be the front line hack and slash person?
If we don’t get an applicant I could always swap to a Tiefling Monk? Human Fighter/Rune Knight? Half-Orc Hexblade? Tortle Barbarian?
I'm adaptable... really have no prob switching to whatever is needed.
I haven't actually played LMoP. I'll apply.
Name: Cail
Race: Vuman
Class: Fighter(Archer, going EK)
What your character had for a meal: Tea and scones.
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)

Looking good for rounding out a party.
So at this point we have:
- flexible Silver, who could be a sorcerer or fighter
- Rowen Acre, human rogue
- Alarion Amanodel, Half-Elf Wizard
- Kathrine Westridge, Cleric
- Cail, Vuman Fighter
I assume Cail meant 'human' fighter. Thank you for offering your skills Cail. We seem to have the best rounded party I can imagine! I think Silver can choose what class he wishes, although it's always good to have another who is capable on the front lines.
Vuman might mean Variant Human, or might just be a typo.
Variant human.
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)

Ah, thanks Skald, is Vuman used for Variant Humans for short?
