Mason is in constant contact with Brightmoon and after learning that he is unable to see who is inside he messages Brightmoon "Move over to the western orcs and prepare to surprise them. As soon as I see you attack one of them I will attempt to hypnotize everyone in the hut and the guards.
(OOC: hypnotic pattern does not require you to see the victims so he can cast it on the guards and anyone in the hut)
As soon as Brightmoon attacks the orcs (assuming that is what he does) Mason will cast hypnotic pattern covering the guards on the hut and anyone in the hut: Wisdom save with DC 15, on fail creatures are incapacitated with speed of 0. They wake if the take damage or if a creature uses it's action to shake them.
Mason signals his companions to help Brightmoon as soon as they can.
Polly offers to cause a distraction. "I can summon a globe of darkness attached to myself, that I can see through, but other things cannot. And I'll carve up any orc who comes near. I can see them, and they can't see me. Works great on an open battlefield, and it'll give you the distraction you need to break him out."
She pauses. "Or I can dimension door in the hut, grab the grandfather, and dimension door back out, from 500 feet out. What do we think?"

You were successful enough to hypnotize both orcs, you can't tell if you hypnotized the last one, and Brightmoon quickly becomes visible again. However, you ended up drawing the attention of the other two orcs. They see Brightmoon about to attack the hypnotized orcs, they shout at him in Orc and run over to him (Anyone who intervenes roll initiative)
(OOC: Mason was waiting for Brightmoon to go over to the western orcs and attack them, not the hypnotized orcs. He was waiting for the other, western, orcs to be attacked with surprise before he cast hypnotic pattern on the hut orcs)

(I'm waiting for his input, but he would've been noticed by them either way)
So Brightmoom sneaks over behind the two orcs on the western side and attempts to shoot one in the back while standing in the tree line. (Stealth: 25 adv: 28 attack: 9 adv: 16 damage if hit: 9 sneak if hit: 21 Wails from the grave damage on second orc if sneak hits:3
(Advantage is from invisibility for Stealth and attack, if not than using Steady Aim would give advantage as well)

Mason is concentrating on the hypnotic pattern and yells to the others "Don't attack the hypnotized orcs, that will bring them into the fight again. Attack the orcs that Brightmoon is fighting."

So there is a group of orcs that is hypnotized, and a group that is not. Where are they in relation to the hut where we think the elf grandfather is? And is the hut within 500 feet?
If Polly doesn't get a response from anyone about her two plan options, she will dimension door into the tent, looking for an elf. When she sees him, she will dimension door with the elf back to where she was, with the group.
If there's some reason that's not feasible, then she'll cast darkness on her armor and enter the fray with her sword, attempting to distract the orcs so someone else can rescue the elf grandfather.

The hut is within 500ft, and you are hidden in some bushes.
You teleport into the hut to find yourself surrounded by five orcs. When you are in, one orc with a staff holds his weapon up against you. Then you almost feel as if you can't move. DC15 wisdom save or become paralyzed
Suddenly, you feel yourself unable to move. While paralyzed, the orcs confiscate all your things, including your arcane focus, then one opens a trapdoor and another throws you down it, once thrown in, you can feel yourself able to move again. You appear to be in some sort of prison dug into the ground, with the walls made from dirt and dried clay, but your not alone. In there with you is an elderly high elf with wrinkled skin and glossy silver hair. He looks up at you and smiles. "I always knew my granddaughter would send someone, even if you met the same fate as me *hack* *cough* *cough*. Are there any more of you?"
Very very clever! Well done. Yikes. So I assume all she has with her is her armor and clothes. Everything else gone.
Reading through the rules, I'm seeing that you use your arcane focus to substitute for material components, so she can't cast spells with a material component anymore. But dimension door only has a verbal component, so she could cast it without her focus. That's actually one of the only spells in her repertoire she currently CAN cast. Unless I'm missing something or this campaign works different?
Also, the warlock feature Pact of the Blade allows you to summon your pact weapon to you wherever it is.
Once she hits the ground, she looks up at the elf and smiles, and whispers to him "I didn't expect that to happen. Thought you'd be right in there, and I could get you out quick as can be. Bit of a pickle we've got ourselves in! But do not fear. There are indeed more of us. I think I can get us both out of here, quickly. Or I could fight my way out and carve you a path. They took my stuff, and I want it back. But I can get one thing back." She summons her longsword pact weapon back into her hand, and gives it a gentle caress.
"First though, what's your name, and what happened? Why'd they take you? What are the orcs after? Your granddaughter was too distraught to tell us much."She places her hand on the elf's shoulder in an encouraging manner.
On his turn Mason will cast armor of agathys on himself with a second level spell slot (he is now surrounded with 10 temp hp of cold protection and his arcane ward is up with 16 points of protection). He will then walk past the hypnotized guards and enter the hut through the front door looking for Polly.

You hear someone in there, taking in Orc. You are unable to understand what they're saying, but who is talking has a very raspy voice.
