"What's that? Call them a Murder? or maybe a creep?" Hrothbert replies with a slight smile "Though it is off topic, What are we to do with this group of Kobolds? It would be good to get them to a safer place than a mine that the locals want back. And their leader here says that the homeland is not safe any longer either. Any suggestions? I think if we can convince the townsfolk to work with them here in the mine. They could assist with the work here."
"It could be possible to find some sort of middle ground that would allow them to live in the mines in exchange for work or perhaps given a home among the townpeople. Especially with their size." The bard turns to the kolbolds. "I would imagine your people would have an easier time getting through small openings better then most? Could work to your advantage."

Long time roleplayer and artist, I enjoy the fantasy world of dragons and magic. It only makes sense I dive into Dungeons and Dragons!
Looking forward to learning the game and making new friends. :)
“I seem to remember being asked to clear the Kobolds, but after finding that they were not the true danger here, I feel we should at least report to the town what we found.” Looking back to the kobold leader. “It would go a long way to plead your case if you snd your group found a way to seal off that deep shaft that creature went down.”
"According to the historical accounts of Termalaine, there have been many attempts to do so, none of them successful. We would be happy to explore other avenues of proving our sincerity and value."
"Perhaps by study their mistakes," The bard played a sour note, then plays a proper note. "one could learn how to succeed. We already know it flies, has tentacles that are.. not very pleasent to be caught in."
He rubs his side a little, still feeling sore from the attack.

"The problem is how vast and deep the shaft is. Every so often, a monster will come up from the underdark through it, then the mine is evacuated, then adventurers clear it, then the miners return for a couple months, then another monster comes, and so on. If you have any ideas for solutions?"
“Agreed Balasar, but I don’t understand why there is no way to cordon off the corridors to this shaft, at create a barrier to slow these characters down. Would give the miners some chance at defence or escape.” Looking back to the Kobold. “Well it seems it best that we report to the townmaster what we’ve found, and you lot should move to the cave off the other side of the main entrance until we have an answer for you.”
"Do we head back to town and report what we found and see what our benefactor says?" Balasar asks. He could not shake the suspicion that maybe the man who hired them might have known about the creature.
“Seems to be the best option.” Having waited until they were out of earshot of the kobolds “I am not to trusting of this “leader”. He was so drastically different from the rest. Not the clothing so much but the manner of speech”
(Thank You Amdirgol. I appreciate you starting this for us new players, it helped me learn some of the mechanics and be more comfortable with the overall flow.
But being that noone has posted in almost two months and some even more than that I feel we might as well collapse this campaign.
Keep me in mind if you have any other campaigns that you think I could fit or would enjoy
Cheers)

The leader nods.
"I would suggest that we do what we were originally hired to do," Balasar offers, "Clear the mine of the danger. That danger is the creature."

Hrothbert is watching the leader’s reaction while this conversation is going on gauging the interest in different suggestions

"I'm beginning to wonder is we were not told everything we needed to know about these mines," Balasar commented.

"Alright," Trex replies, and he motions the kobolds to follow him to the aforementioned cave.
