RELEASE NOTES
The Gunslinger Class: Valda’s Spire of Secretscontains perhaps Mage Hand Press’s most fun and magnetic class to date, brought with an arsenal of weapons to the 2024 version of the rules. This class comes with 6 subclasses for gunslingers of every stripe, along with an extensive list of firearms, ranging from Muskets and Assault Rifles, to Grenade Launchers and futuristic blasters.

ENABLING CONTENT FOR YOUR CHARACTER
To use content from The Gunslinger Class: Valda’s Spire of Secrets in the character builder, you will need to set the character preferences to include Mage Hand Press source category (see the .gif below).
NEW CLASS AND SUBCLASSES
This source features a new class, the Gunslinger, along with 6 unique subclasses. This class and subclasses are mostly supported with the following exception:
Secret Agent's Operative Training: This feature grants both the items and their proficiency outlined in the subclass feature description. Items granted through class features cannot be automatically added to the inventory on the character sheet at this time.
NEW FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION
This source features 19 new equipment items including firearms with new weapon properties and masteries. These items are mostly supported with the following exception:
Weapon Masteries on Core Classes. At this time D&D Beyond cannot support selecting third party weapon masteries from the character builder for classes from the Player’s Handbook. The feat "Weapon Mastery (The Gunslinger Class: Valda’s Spire of Secrets)" has been created to allow users to add weapon masteries from this source to the core classes.
NEW FEATS
This source features 3 new feats. These feats are supported.
NEW SPELLS
The source features 9 new spells. These spells are fully supported.
The Revolver from Valda's doesn't show the gunslinger weapon mastery on the character sheet. The revolver from the Basic Rules does show the gunslinger weapon mastery but doesn't add proficiency to the attack. Also the starting equipment revolver is the one from the basic rules and not the one from Valda's.
Right now it seems like the new weapons with the firearms tag are still adding Dex to damage starting at level 1. This is only meant to be added at level 11.
Fighting styles that were designed initially for melee weapons (eg duelling) that Gunslinger can apply to ranged weapons don’t appear to work with the one handed guns currently.
The Revolver in particular appears to be causing confusion as there are 2 version of the weapon (DMG and Mage Hand Press) and the star that pops up for weapon mastery application only works for the DMG one and not the Mage Hand Press one.
I’ll have a bit more of a play and see if anything else turns up.
1.The Loading property are not in Weapon Properties. And Gunslinger has no "ignore Loading" feature so their extra attack cannot work with these firearm.
2.Recoil property doesn't tells how to make ranged attack, does it affect any ranged attack even not this weapon?

Source: The Gunslinger Class: Valda’s Spire of Secrets
An iconic handgun, the Revolver stores six bullets in a rotating cylinder. This weapon is favored by Gunslingers for its reliability and stopping-power.
The entry link is also incorrect on the Gunslinger Class page under 'starting equipment' - here
To simply the above feedback, wrong version of the Revolver is being referenced. Currently the listings page and the character builder are referencing/adding the Basic Rules Revolver rather than the Valda's Spire Revolver.
The new firearms shouldnt add your dex modifier to your damage unlees you are a lvl 11+ gunslinger.
I can fix it manually, because i know this is how these are supposed to work. Players new to mage hand press might not know this and are therefore using unbalanced weapons
You have listed one of the features as "maverick sprit". Unless you mean a 'rogue, small spar reaching diagonally from low on a mast to the upper outer corner of a sail,' then I assume you meant to write "Maverick Spirit".
On the character sheet, the "Bite the Bullet" ability on the actions tab lists the total number of temp HP as being equal to ALL your risk die + character level. So at level 20 you would be gaining 6d12 + 20 temp HP, which would come out to a potential 36d12 + 120 temp HP per short rest, which is probably stronger than intended.
For some reason, level 1 masteries feature is using a different type of formatting than the rest.
No, first one and third one has no text. I mean, this book got no Loading in section Weapon Properties and got no musket in section Weapon Descriptions——which is descripting 'what is this weapon'.
They're absolutely text-missing issues here, not for the balance reason.

Yes, which is correct per the source material. If you go to the Gunslinger Base Class or the Firearms page over at Mage Hand Press neither has descriptions for the Loading property or the Musket weapon. That because the respective property and weapon use the rules from the core rules. They're descriptions are missing, they're intentionally omitted because they're already published here and here.

In short:Loading isn't a special property that comes w/this pack.

As I understand it, you are correct in that you can't use both on the same turn. Both Finger Guns and Arcane Shot use your Bonus Action. Since you only get one Bonus Action per turn, using one prevents you from using the other that turn.
The parlor gun and other Mage Hands Press equipment can be viewed in the book, but won't come up when trying to add it to the inventory of my gunslinger character, both in the character sheet of the app and in the character creator. Mage Hand Press isn't even an option in the source filters. I'm not able to add any Mage Hands Press equipment and the Revolver that is in the default equipment is the one from the Core Rules, as other have mentioned.

Even after syncing my entitlements I am unable to access the class on the website or in the app
Yeah, there seems to be an issue with entitlement syncing. I've alerted the devs already.

More Valda's?!
I'm surprised...
The entitlements issue is happening to me, so good on you Spam, for covering that.
If we're getting Valda's Piece by Piece....We can only hope Witch is in the pipeline.

Hey DDB team, I’ve noticed a couple issues.
Right now it seems like the new weapons with the firearms tag are still adding Dex to damage starting at level 1. This is only meant to be added at level 11.

There's few bugs in this Class, need fixing:
1.The Loading property are not in Weapon Properties. And Gunslinger has no "ignore Loading" feature so their extra attack cannot work with these firearm.
2.Recoil property doesn't tells how to make ranged attack, does it affect any ranged attack even not this weapon?
3.Musket got no Description. Intentional?
That is not a DDB bug, that's how the class is and its weapons are designed; some of the weapons don't have the loading property, some do.
The description on DDB matches what's published by Mage Hand Press.
Again matches Mage Hand Press, seems to use the rules from the PHB for the musket

The default equipment includes a revolver, but the basic rules one, which Gunslingers are somehow not proficient with...
Attack Type: Ranged
Range: 40ft./120ft.
Damage: 2d8
Damage Type: Piercing
Weight: 3lb.
Cost:
Properties: Ammunition (Firearms), Range, Reload, Sap
Source: D&D Beyond Basic Rules
Should be substituted with:
Proficient: Yes
Attack Type: Ranged
Range: 30ft./120ft.
Damage: 2d6
Damage Type: Piercing
Weight: 3lb.
Cost: 125 gp
Properties: Ammunition (Range 30/120; Bullet), Firearm, Recoil, Reload (6), Slow

I might have missed something but it seems like the saving throw DC for any spell from Gun Mage Adept are wrong.
I'm not sure which ability score is being added, but it isn't Dex or Int

How do you fix it manually? I can't figure out how to customize the existing action
I have a question regarding the Spellslinger subclass.
Finger Guns is a new, pretty interesting Bonus Action cantrip. I’m looking forward to using it.
Arcane Shot allows you to use your BA to add your risk die as damage.
Unless I’m missing something, you can’t use both?
As I understand it, you are correct in that you can't use both on the same turn. Both Finger Guns and Arcane Shot use your Bonus Action. Since you only get one Bonus Action per turn, using one prevents you from using the other that turn.
