I just purchased the grim hollow content and noticed I can't add as a feat any of the fighting styles from that content to my gunslinger class? Also they don't appear as any fighting style on level one fighting style ability
Yes my entitlements are synced and grim hollow is enabled. This is mainly for the fighting style feats such as close combat artillerist. I have found them but they are marked and I haven't mate the prequistite. Which has all of this. Missing: Bard (Legacy) - College of Swords - Level 03: Fighting Style or Blood Hunter - Level 02: Fighting Style or Captain - Level 02: Fighting Style or Champion - Level 01: Fighting Style or Fighter - Champion - Level 07: Additional Fighting Style or Fighter - Level 01: Fighting Style or Fighter (Legacy) - Champion (Legacy) - Level 10: Additional Fighting Style or Fighter (Legacy) - Level 01: Fighting Style or Fighter Fighting Style (Level 1) or Messenger - Herald - Level 03: Fighting Style or Paladin - Level 02: Fighting Style or Paladin (Legacy) - Level 02: Fighting Style or Paladin Fighting Style (Level 2) or Paladin (Legacy) - Level 02: Fighting Style or Ranger - Level 02: Fighting Style or Ranger (Legacy) - Level 02: Fighting Style or Ranger (Legacy) - Level 02: Fighting Style or Ranger Fighting Style (Level 2) or Warden - Level 02: Fighting Style or Monster Hunter - Level 02: Fighting Style
To be honest, I never noticed until now. I usually never swap back or try to swap back after changing my Backdrop for a character. But yeah, its happening to me to, just checked
Fixed!

Ah, that's my mistake. I had feat prerequisites disabled for that character. 😅
I'll let the devs know, but in the meantime, you can also turn that off in your character settings and then you can add those feats.

As I understand it, you are correct in that you can't use both on the same turn. Both Finger Guns and Arcane Shot use your Bonus Action. Since you only get one Bonus Action per turn, using one prevents you from using the other that turn.

It is my understanding you create the finger gun with the bonus action but afterwards it is a weapon like any other, it attacks as an action.

Here is what I was able to determine about Gun Mage Adept issues.
Gun Mage Adept – Broken Implementation Gun Mage Adept is currently non-functional in several ways: 1 Weapon Proficiency ◦ The feat grants proficiency with “Martial Ranged Weapons”, but firearms are not categorized that way. ◦ As a result, the feat does not grant firearm proficiency unless the Gunner feat is also taken or proficiencies are manually added. 2 Spellcasting (INT) ◦ When Intelligence is chosen, the spells appear but still consume normal spell learn/prep slots, which defeats the purpose of a feat-granted spell package and of course only the spells picked on the granted list appear in your known spells list. 3 Spellcasting (WIS / CHA) ◦ When Wisdom or Charisma is chosen, the spells are added only to Available Spells. ◦ This makes the spell-granting portion of the feat unusable, again the feat does not grant the spells as you cannot pick them. Overall, the feat behaves inconsistently and requires manual fixes to work as expected.
One possible fix for these spells not being granted is to create a homebrew version of the spells you want, and then just put your subclass in the list of granted classes this will be automatically added as a granted spell. But will be done for all characters with the same subclass regardless of having this feat.

Yes, indeed you are correct. What I meant and didn't clearly state was that you couldn't create the Finger Guns and use Arcane Shot in the same turn. Both use your bonus action and you only have one Bonus action per turn. So, even if you create the Finger Guns (Bonus Action) and then use them (an Action as you stated) in the same turn, you wouldn't be able to use Arcane Shot, too, as it requires your Bonus Action, which you've already used to create the Finger Guns.

@Deathmolar, thank you for this thought out summarization, I doubt I could have summarized it better myself.
I was looking over my character sheet, for the Spellslinger character, I’m using in my campaign and I realized that these issue were showing up for me as well.
Hoping this can get resolved soon.

ModeratorThey show up fine for me. 🤔
Are your account entitlements in sync?

Do you have Grim Hollow enabled for that character?

Bumping this (I'm sorry for bumping so soon, I just get to play this character in 2 days and would like the extra prepared spells)
I noticed that the spells aren't preparing for the 2024 artificer when selecting the gun mage adept feat.
Awesome! Thanks so much for fixing this!
