This has been confusing me for a while now. The Expert Strike feature: "You can add your Intelligence modifier to the attack and damage rolls of your weapons and Unarmed Strikes." I have the spell Chill Touch on my character, as part of my racial abilities, and it is also added to that spell but if I also take Shocking Grasp as part of my class spell list it isn't added. Both are considered "Unarmed Strikes" as they are both Touch spells but only Chill Touch is getting the benefit. It is also adding the Intelligence mod to the damage of All of my Attack related spells, regardless if they are "Touch" related spells or not.
Am I missing something?
I'm sorry that I do not have an answer to your question, but I am super curious about what species you're using that makes cantrips into unarmed strikes. Is that something from the Grim Hollow book?
No it's the 2024 Chthonic Tiefling. It gives me Chill Touch by default and it's affected by this ability. That's why I'm confused. I'm wondering if this is something that affects other races, or is something that is tagged as part of a background?

That's...weird. Spells with a range of Touch are definitely not Unarmed Strikes in general, so unless there's a specific class feature that does that specific thing, it really shouldn't be affected. Is it possible you have something else that's boosting the damage of that specific spell?

Chill Touch isn't an Unarmed Strike, it's a Melee Spell Attack, so that modifier shouldn't be added to it. Shocking Grasp is also a Melee Spell Attack. Neither is an Unarmed Strike.
That's true, but I get both spells from different sources and, even though they have the same basic principals behind their uses only 1 is triggered by the class effect.

No it triggers immediately after gaining level 5.
