a Human with an Elvish name, Ala'Vyn was taken in by Drow slavers as an infant and used my the mages as a Test subject for untested magics. The slavers tested on Ala'Vyn for over almost 20 years until he surpassed their Evokers and Abjurers and found a way to combine the two. He became one of the few Wizards following the school of War in this Drow city of ____________. His adaptation to combat and quick thinking in arcane solving Ala'Vyn soon found himself being trusted more and more by the Arch Mage of the Enclave, until he was able to find a way to slip out of the underdark.
Janti Krimh, a tabaxi, was born into slavery as her mother was a slave worker in one of waterdeep's parade companies. When she was 5, her mother died from a smokepowder explosion, destroying a quarter of one of the wards. Janti was released, and left on the streets to fend for herself when she discovered a secret monastery on Mount Waterdeep taught by the wise Hlam. She joined and learned the way of the monk, and developed a drinking addiction. She was kicked out of the temple 3 years later after a hidden stash of 50 empty bottles was found stuffed inside her mattress. With the little money she owned, she decided to perform for money on the streets. Once she amassed a small fortune from performing and a small bit of bewitchment of the crowd, Janti left Waterdeep, and went out to search for adventures and find out where she came from. Deep down inside, she still has the deep down fear of explosives and will never voluntarily use them. Janti is a Drunken Master monk multi-classes into the bardic college of glamour. This is based on my current character.
Oci- A bard reincarnaited to finish his final world tour. He was reborn as a cat. So now he is trying to find an artifact so he can play with cat feet. Happens to come from a line of draconic sorcerers and is a little dragon/cat
Plink- A steller's jay kenku who acts a shepherd for the kyrkogrims of a church tucked into the woods. Speaks in bells/windchimes/leafs rustling/rain on a rooftop/etc.
Jād- Shifter on the run from one of their personas. Always crying.
Chime- Mute air genasi born to drow. Helping to free other male drow/drow hybrids stuck in the slave trade. Plays very quiet sad songs on wind instruments. Uses prestidigitation to comunicate with people who don't know CSL (Common Sign Language).
Condie- 1/4 elf who happened to get a tiefling curse. Uses a pipe as a wand and a snake for her missing arm. ("Condie" is how my cousin says candy [coon-dy])
Zhars- A triton/fire genasi phoenix sorcerer with a russian acent (based off the Zhar-Ptitsa of course).
Alzi- Yuan-Ti (boomslang snake) rogue haunted by the astral prodjection of a young wizard who is confined to his house.
Calico- A half tabaxi swashbuckler with an arm made if water in place of the one she lost in a shark attack (a gift from her wife)
Khoshekh- A kalashtar who's got a few too many eyes... and mouths. An embishary for a great old one. Madness Cleric/Great Old One Warlock
Aislinn- A kenku/aasimar (plays as just a weird looking aasimar) grave cleric who works as a plauge doctor. While in a quarantined town, was attacked by a robber and met death. They made a deal.
Adeline- Deer shifter ranger who shoots first, ask questions never.
Stela- Firbolg Earth Genasi who works as a blood hunter... for unicorns.
(I've got drawings of these forks, how do I upload them?)
Alaric Skarison, variant Human Barbarian (Path of the Totem Warrior {Wolf}) {+feat Shield master}
Based on a Viking Shield-Brother, He is tall and strong with fair skin, dark blond hair, and blue eyes. His hair is short and he has a medium beard. Although past his prime, he is still stronger and in better shape than most. (40-50 years old) He also has several tattoos over his body.
He wields a battle axe in one hand and a shield in the other when in battle.
Personality Traits
I can stare down a hell hound without flinching. I face problems head-on. A simple, direct solution is the best path to success. Superstition - If you disturb the bones of the dead, you inherit all the troubles that plagued them in life
Ideals
Greater Good. Our lot is to lay down our lives in defense of others. (Good)
Bonds
My honor is my life.
Flaws
I have little respect for anyone who is not a proven warrior.
Full backstory:
Your tribe live high in the mountains to the far north, around the snowline. Scarcely anything can be grown here, and not in any quantity. To one side you have the Dwarven nation and cities. Your ancestors raided their shipments, but eventually as the Dwarves retaliated against the raids, it was deemed better to trade with them than fight. To another side there is sheer ice, impassable to all but the hardiest of folk. To the third side are tribes of goliaths and giants. Although dangerous to raid, their goods (or bodies) sell high. And to the final side are Orcs. Lots, and lots of Orcs. Raids go back and forth between them, but they mostly favour you and your hardy folk.
Your father and mother lead one of the raiding groups. Your tribe relies heavily on them to bring in supplies to sustain the village. As such all of their children are put into the care of the chief's household, raised by their servant staff.
You were born during a raid, in one of the raided barns. Born amidst blood and war, you were fated by the gods to become a fierce warrior. You were with them as they finished the raid, but not once did you cry during the battles.
You grew up alongside 6 siblings (3 sisters, 3 brothers). Life alongside the chief's household staff was good and you wanted for little. You hand several friends, and would go in battle with many of them later in life.
Wanting to impress your parents you honed you skill at war to a fine edge, becoming a fierce and deadly warrior. You impressed those around you and at a young age (16) you led a small raid against an orc camp. It was a massive success and returned with fistfuls of gold.
During a particularly harsh winter you were forced to raid further afield. Luck however was not on your side. A white dragon emerged out of the hellish snowstorm and attacked. Many of your friends lay dead, those alive were set upon by a pack of winter wolves. You were bleeding out, a gaping claw wound across your chest. Among the dead is your brother in blood, Lothgar.
You awake to a warm wind on your face. The bleeding has stopped, but you're still just barely alive. Upon opening your eyes you see a dire winter wolf staring back at you. To your surprise it nuzzles your head and you summon just enough strength to ruffle it's fur. It beckons you to follow and slowly walks off along the snow. It turns around occasionally to check you're still there. Unable to stand, you summon all your strength to crawl after this unusual beast.
It leads you to a cave, the inside of which is covered with druidic or arcane symbols. From the dark corners emerge a bear, a tiger, an elk, and an eagle. Along with the dire wolf, they surround you and bow to you. Light surges forward from the symbols on the wall, flying towards the animals, and from them to you. 5 symbols take flight, and somehow you can understand them. Above the Dire wolf stops one that means pack or family. Above the bear, strength or might. Tiger, agility. Eagle, Sight. Elk, endurance. The light shines brighter, blinding you.
When the light subsides, you find yourself back on the snow, surrounded by your dead companions. A wave of anger washes over you, empowering you to push on, and you make your way to back home. There you vow to enact revenge on the evil beast that did this. As you recover you carve heads of each of the animals that visited you out of bone and craft them into a necklace that you always wear (Personal totem).
Many years later you led an assault on the white dragons lair. However the creature was nowhere to be found. Instead the lair was full of Kobolds, who were clearly in the service of the evil beast. You cleared out the cave yourself unscathed, however many of your fellow soldiers and suffered considerable wounds. Amongst the gold and silver and gems in the horde, you find a set of dice. Something feels different about it, but you take it for yourself anyway. On return home, you hear news that a white dragon attacked one of the Dwarven holds near the surface. Realising your tribe, formidable though they are, does not possess enough might to a dragon that took out an entire hold, you set out in search of hunters who are strong of spirit and body.
One of the first of the curse, they were gifted not only with the ability to shapeshift and extraordinary strength and speed, but with exceptionally long life. They are several thousands years old. All remnants of humanity or compassion are long gone, but every slight against them is remembered and festers over time. Unlike the weak now blessed with this curse, they have no vulnerability to silver and are able to regenerate at an incredible rate.
In 'Human' form they stand as tall or taller than a Goliath (7-9ft) with muscles barely contained by what little clothes they wear, and their hair is pure white. In Wolf form they are again massive, they are to dire wolves what dire wolves are to normal wolves, again their fur is pure white. The hybrid form towers over almost everything and like its other forms has pure white fur.
They don't care about good or evil or even others. Only the very strongest werewolves are allowed into it's pack, but even they are considered lesser than the Dire Winter Wolves that act as the Ancient's entourage. There is also a cult that effectively worships these Ancient creatures, although they consider themselves an almost clerical order, the Order of the Wolf. Members of this cult are considered servants (or food) to the members of the pack, but a scarce few are chosen to receive the blessing of the Wolf (normal werewolf bite, none survive an ancient werewolf's bite)
The order's base and the lair of the Ancient is a massive castle with a forest within its walls, all of which is built upon hallowed ground. The Ancient(s) is(are) able to control the weather within this place at will as well as having complete dominion over any beast which enters the area, along with this they are able to perceive through the beast's senses whilst it remains in the area. (beasts are considered charmed for half the time they were within the area after leaving it)
500-1000 years ago a vampire attacked several members of the order and tried to breach the castle (but failed). Although repelled much damage was done. The Ancient(s) struck back out in vengeance and burnt the vampire, it's estate, those enthralled by it, and the nearby villages to the ground. (can't be too careful with an affliction/disease)
Ever since they have been systematically doing the same to every vampire and it's hold. Some sieges take several days, others several years, but the Ancient(s) has(have) time.
(idea of start) A vampire comes to the heroes and tells them that they're doing this. Likely unfazed for the most it, the destruction of several innocent human settlements would make them think about cutting some sort of deal.
Unfortunately, these would make my ideas look bland and boring. However, I love reading things so if you want to let out some sneak peeks let me know. ^_^ :)

Breeze, the Air Genasi Rogue in G.M.O.A.T.S sunless citadel Guldrum, the Dwarf Barbarian in Ye ol' Yarn Spun Legend Baku, the Tortle Bloodhunter in Coliseum of Conquest
Lady Marie, the young blonde human cleric (with just a touch of orc blood somewhere peaking through). She carries with her a massive maul that she uses to pummel enemies. Although all she wants to do is adventure, explore, and fight, she is stuck with becoming the next head of her church's sect. That is, until XYZ happened and she decided to leave it all behind!
Or my personal favorite, Crash Gullcry, a Kenku who was abandoned at birth for his mutation and defect: bright red, yellow, green, and blue feathers instead of the normal black and grey. He was picked up by a pirating vessel where he served admirably and learned much, eventually becoming the first mate. Not evil necessarily, but definitely taught the wrong things in his formative years which can make for some "innocence lost" type of story. I imagine him being a ranger but there are a few different options to go for him.
I don't approve of your statement on the ignorance of the masses. Why don't you go be bitter by yourself instead of bringing your negativity into other peoples posts. Come talk more mess when you've created an entire campaign, setting, lore, backstory, and setting history from scratch.
A mad Warlock that has created an entire race of humanoid "manbeasts" Like the Mongrelfolk from Curse of Strahd but not an amalgam of various animal features. They could have created a race of monstrous half human, half (insert your least liked type of animal or D&D monster here) Like Demogorgon loves to do. That could even be the Patron that gives the mad Warlock their power.

im writing a D&D®️ story and I’m in need of 6 heroes and 1 villain so throw some my way and monsters too!
note: all creators will be given credit.
Knowing how ignorant people are, this will be seen as a player request.
But this is a perfect discussion for conceptual characters.

What kind of characters are you looking for, like personality department?
Also, any restriction on race?
I've got a lot of concepts for characters that I don't mind sharing. But like... two many to list them all I think.
Item's - Sashelas' Spear, Thunder Beads, Diadem of the Owl, Bag of Stasis
Race - Fey-Touched
Subclass - Circle of Vitality
Monsters - Blood Bear
Spell - Arcbolt

I'm serious about this, it is not a joke.

The Mime(villain)
A creature which has a constant silence/deafness aura, but is extremely weak to any sound, if the aura is somehow turned off.
