When filtering Druid Spells on D&D Beyond none of the Tasha's list spells are tagged as being for Druid. I know this at DM discretion, but other sources of Druid Spells are listed, with the source in the lower corner, but not these? Is there a reason?
1st Protection from evil and good 2nd Augury (ritual), Continual flame, Enlarge/reduce, Summon beast * 3rd Aura of vitality, Elemental weapon, Revivify, Summon fey * 4th Divination (ritual), Fire shield, Summon elemental * 5th Cone of cold 6th Flesh to stone 7th Symbol 8th Incendiary cloud
After purchasing the material on DDB, you also have to enable it per character. In the builder, under the class section, there will be an "optional feature manager." This will have a series of checkboxes, and you need to enable the one that says "Additional Druid Spells" to see those added spells in your spell list.
the optional class features presented in Tasha's work in a very similar way to extra spells that are granted from your subclass - they aren't part of the class spell list, they are considered part of the class spell list only for your character.
Still not clear on how to enable them… especially for regular spells like Augury or Enlarge/Reduce? Or do you have to purchase all of the Tasha’s features in order for this to show up?
Find Familiar doesn't show up in your spells list. It shows up in Features & Traits, instead.
Make sure you've enabled all of the highlighted below. Once done you will have the Wild Companion feature and the Optional Spells will be automatically added to your list of selectable spells.
For spells you need to own the book the spell was printed in, the spells section from that book, or that specific spell individually purchased from that book, if I recall how it works correctly. It's been a while so my memory might be failing me...
I might have to just open up a ticket and ask the Staff then, because I do own the Player's Handbook, and it seems a little weird that I would need to own all or some specific portion of Tasha's in order to enable these extra spells and features. It's only the new "summon" spells that are from Tasha's & everything else is core PHB from what I can tell. Not a big deal, mostly just curious at this point ;)
No worries. It's hard to test things since I own all the rules sourcebooks and can only see how things work with everything. :(
Maybe starting a new thread might attract more attention from folks that actually know where the hiccup is? Most will see this thread from March with a staff post and skip it since the OP's issue was answered.
Opening a ticket isn't a bad idea either since you'll get a direct answer instead of speculation and suggestions. Best of luck!
while the spells themselves come from the PHB, the ability for the Druid to prepare them comes from Tasha's - that is likely why you would need the book to enable this.

Hi there,

Sadly— that just doesn't work for me: Optional is turned on, but the spells don't show up.
However, I also haven't purchased all of Tasha's (is that a prerequisite for this feature)?

You need to purchase the entire Tasha's to get the optional class features.

Oh, well that's good to know. My smooth brain couldn't remember if it was a requirement or not.
Righto.. thanks everyone!
This is also confirmed through my communication with the D&DB staff; kind of a bummer in my opinion but business is business!
thanks again for everyone’s comments & efforts to get to the bottom of this topic..
