Those southerners like to joke about those "crazy northerners" and their brutal ways, so much so that they start some of the craziest rumors...like how they can take the shape of a dire wolf and eat the flesh of their victims under the moonlight.
...what? Wait, you mean they actually do that?
Huh.
Yeah, druids have developed the reputation as being "that class that turns themselves into animals". They are also the magic casters that specialize in harnessing the very power of nature and the elements.
So, yeah...they are about as badass as you can get. I mean, a barbarian can get so angry they do extra damage or become hairy like a bear...but a druid can get so angry they can actually BECOME a bear. They can also call down an orbital death laser from the moon...summon gnarly roots and branches from the earth like a haunted forest...set themselves on fire and brandish a flaming sword...or become a living tree, like that sad guy from Game of Thrones.
Druids...pardon the pun, rock.
Which brings us to this forum thread...what sort of druid is your character? How did they develop their druidic power?
Were they a simple halfling tending to their land, when a tyrants army invaded, and they were forced to take up their Shillelagh and bash them out, cackling like a mad Irishman?
Or perhaps they were bitten by a werewolf, and sought a cure for their lycanthropy, only to find that even though they rid themselves of the disease, they remained connected to their primal power...able to shift back into animal form at will...
Maybe your noble family accidentally built their estate on Feylands, and in exchange for halting the retribution of an angry Archfey, you agreed to serve as a protector of nature...
Whatever your story, feel free to share your backgrounds below, as well as some of your favorite spells and animals forms!

My druid studied nature and experimented on it until the moonlight gave him druidic power but then he was kidnapped by pirates and became a captain
