I have a fighter aasimar but he cannot use some of the aasimar abilities as he doesn't know it.He recently got to know that he has a trace of celestial blood in his body.In his quest he finds the god of wind who is also the celestial whose blood is in his body.After that I want to allow him some benefits of Paladin class like divine sense ,divine smite etc. but I don't want to take away the skills he gains for fighter with leveling up.Can I just give him little bits of paladin powers while not going into the mechanics of multiclassing,?
Most of the time to gain the benefits of a class you have to be that class and multiclassing is a good solution but if you don’t want to give up some of the powers that a fighter gets at higher levels I’d recommend doing a dip in paladin since you get channel divinity and smite pretty early but smite relies on spell slots so you won’t be able to use it a lot but I’d most importantly talk to your DM about it they could allow you to take a homebrew feat to get those features of the class
Absolutely. My untrained Wizard is going to gain a powerful teacher and my warlock is also going to have something along the line.I just haven't worked out the details as all these powers are going to come at a much later part of the campaign.

Thank you for your insight. But I am the DM.
You can, and since you're the DM it's your call.
Mechanically you might be able to do this two ways on DnDbeyond;
Depends on the powers and the like. I do hope you are treating others in the party with similar perks though :)
