This question came up and I think we came to the right conclusion, but wanted to double check. Here is the question:
If A cleric multiclassed with another full spell casting class, would that delay him from getting higher level cleric spells, or would that effectively be determined by the total level?
We looked at the PHG on multiclasseing spel lcasters and came up with this-
If the cleric multiclassed with another full spell caster he can get higher level spell slots, but would not be able to prepare higher level spells, he can only cast a lower level spell with the higher spell slot.
Does this sound about right? Thanks for the help.

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

Yeah, it turns out that you can only prepare spells depending on the individual level of spellcaster. For example, if you were a 16th-level cleric and a 4th-level druid, you would not be able to prepare a 9th-level cleric spell.
