Hello DMs. I am looking for a writing partner, or possibly two to help me write adventures and campaigns. I would like to be able to bounce off 20,000 foot ideas to this partner once or twice a month. I would send a few paragraphs or a page and would appreciate a prompt (within 2-4 day) response of several sentences or a couple of paragraphs to help guide my writing.
In return, I would reciprocate.
This would not generally be about game mechanics or specific situation, but ideas to flesh out campaigns and adventures. Please let me know if you are interested.
Thanks, Velstitzen

I am a 40 something year old physician who DMs for a group of 40 something year old doctors. We play a hybrid game, mostly based on 2nd edition rules with some homebrew and 5E components.
I'm curious, at least: What sort of feedback are you looking for here: Is it just quality of writing, or quality of content and ideas?

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.

I have found that posting to this forum gives a mixed response. At times, I get a lot of help but often it is crickets. Take this recent post...
"A group of people, including some kids, distract the party with some juggling and antics, and two urchins run off with their backpack of holding. Nothing angers players like losing their stuff. The thieves are part of a local guild. Maybe some of their members are the ones being executed???
People are gathered around something floating in the surf at dusk. If the party approaches, they notice it looks like a small boat. In reality, it is a casket wrapped in heavy chains. A sailor pries open the lock and a mist rises up out of the coffin and floats away over the city. There are some sort of clues on the casket as to the identity of the vampire. A few days later, people start disappearing...
This post may get a response from humanity, and then again it may not. I would anticipate sending a message, something like the above, and asking for help in rounding out the idea. It might be a more complete idea consisting of a page of prose or maybe just a few sentences. I don't need help in editing it or writing. I am looking for help in coming up with big ideas, intertwining plot lines, etc.
Posting on a forum is a bit like sending a group text message. For example, I sent one today to 12 people and specifically asked for a response. Only one replied. I hope that a group of two or three people would consistently and promptly (within reason) reply to the request for help.

I'm interested. I enjoy bouncing ideas about, and being every couple of months makes it much less pressure!
Sweet. I would be very grateful to start as soon as you desire.

I tried to do something like this by joining a dm's discord group where we posted about our worlds etc, it was great at first but became to clunky very quickly before fizzling out :( So I'd say you're on the right lines to keep the group small. Maybe you could try a discord server or something as I think the same problem here is its too big and things get lost, especially if people aren't always checking and keep up to date it can be daunting to try and get up to speed.
But I'd be interested to try at least, might help me with my writers block.
That’s why I recommend a personal PM with each of us. That way the ideas are in a vacuum and can avoid the “oh yeah, what [name] said sounds good” instead of people actually contributing.

This intrigues me. Send something over via pms and I’ll let you know what I think.

One thing I find difficult on here is keeping up to date, I loose track and don't always get the notices that someone had replaied.

I am also interested, if the slots haven't been filled yet.
