It seems like you should be able to do this, but I don't exactly see how. Is it possible to take characters you've made who are Evil NPCs and bring them into the encounter builder as bad guys? Or is there a way to convert a character to a home-brew monster maybe? Thanks
I also agree. Many DMs make evil NPCs via the Character Builder tool. And the DMG encourages DMs to make NPCs via character building. Many DMs would like to add these NPCs to encounters. Unfortunately, there's no way to do that. Maybe the stumbling block is the Challenge Rating, but Chapter 9 of the DMs Guide gives a formula for giving a CR to a created monster or NPC (regardless of how they were created). It would think this would be codable into Dndbeyond.
You should be building NPCs the same way you build monster stat blocks, not using the Character Creator. Monsters and NPCs are built completely different from PCs. However, if you're wanting to use the Character Creator then use the same join link for your campaign that the players did and join the campaign with that character. They'll show up in the Encounter Builder after this.

I agree. I just jumped the gun and created a similar post before I searched and saw yours and some others.
