[edit: clearly I am not a DM! I just found a webpage that notes the chrome extension to create a DNDBeyond campaign DM screen. DOH! Now the obvious question is how well this function fills the needs of a DM for information tracking etc.]

Has anyone ever discussed or has WoTC ever commented on the idea of creating a DM screen creation tool here?
I've seen, and probably most of you have seen, some pretty impressive creations online to produce a DM screen. Most of course are printable pdf files to attach to a series of boards. But I have also found a couple really well done excel files that allow you to input player and character names, classes, saving throws, hit points etc. and as the DM edits these details, all the affected calculations are presented on the spreadsheet.
Tracking initiative is one of the obvious uses, but one even has an encounter builder, a weather and terrain tracker, a bunch of other stuff.
So just wondering if there's ever been any discussion of DnDbeyond developing a program here that DMs would use to customize their DM screen and even make it update in real time for the events of the adventure.
Seems like if they want to encourage people to continue to sit around a table (or even their own computer screens), they should provide some powerful tools to make the DM job easier to stick to the sourcebooks and adventures.
