Just about to start a new campaign and looking for some assistance with tracking things in OneNote.
I downloaded a template but seems to only work with the later versions on Onenote. Does anyone have on that works with the current version? Or anyone willing to share what they have done so I can use this as a basis?
Running Shattered Obelisk, so anything specific to that would be a bonus,.
it is not geared towards running a written campaign. I use it to think of ideas for a home brew world setting. If that is something you'd be interested in let me know. It works for me and you will have to expand on it as you think of things you would like your players to go through or experience based on your campaign. If you are looking for something to help you with published settings, that can be done in one note, you just have to think about what information you are trying to capture and have available.
Are you trying to keep up with sessions? OneNote is good for that because everything is searchable. Want to track all NPCs? Thats Easy too because if you have the source book on DNDBeyond, simply title your NPC Page as the NPCs name in that subsection and you can place a link or copy and past the text from that source book into your one note so you can recall it with a simple search. There are a ton of ways to use one note to manage your campaign.
If I can help let me know. If you want the template for the homebrew world let me know.
I've been trying Joplin, you can get it on your phone or tablet too if you use them in game for more screens. I'm also about to run The Shattered Obelisk and I have it split by chapter, then locations and NPCs within the chapter. Its easy to organize and a minimalist type app.

I just use word. One note is interesting but I don't like the program. Sly Flourish uses. Notion which is similar.
I use OneNote and do much of what this article covers
