Just started my first campaign as a DM using the 2024 rules. I have all the core rules and share via subscription with my players. My question is will Xanithars and Tasha's work in the character creator with the 2024 rules or will I have to downgrade them to the 2014 rules. I have a player who really wants to play swashbuckler from Xanithars but I might encourager her to go assassin if it won't work nicely in the character creator.
So long as you have 2014 Expanded Rules ticked in the home page of the character builder you should be able to use the Xanithar's and Tasha's subclasses on 2024 characters. The exception is if the subclass has been updated already in which case it will only allow you to use the newer version. Swashbuckler should be fine
