I'm wondering if there are any good maps out there of cities of the Sword Coast region. I know that official campaigns have them assuming a major part of the story takes place in that city, but I don't want to spend upwards of $50 on a campaign I'm not gonna run just for a map. I'm writing a homebrew campaign set in the area around Baldur's Gate, and I would love to have a better idea of what that area looks like up close so I can get a reasonable distance figured out for travel and also of all the towns and villages in that area. I have a high res map of the entire Sword Coast region which I got from D&D's official website, but it's been difficult for me to find a good photo of any other city that isn't low quality. If anyone can point me in the right direction of where to find these maps would be really great.
I don't believe that the area of Baldur's Gate has been detailed in a 5th edition product yet.
I think that your best bet is to just google Baldur's Gate Map and you'll likely find something from a previous edition that you can use as a guide for your homebrew campaign.
Your best bet for city maps would probably be Forgotten Realms Adventures, which is $10 on DM's Guild. It has maps and a two-page spread on each of 24 cities all over the Heartlands (the term used in older FR products for the southern Sword Coast area plus the Dalelands, Dragon Coast, Cormyr, Sembia, the Moonsea, and the Vast). Five of these are in the Sword Coast region: Baldur's Gate, Scornubel, Elturel, Berdusk, and Iriaebor.
There's also Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast (also $10 on DM's Guild) which is somewhat shorter on maps but far longer on local color albeit with a focus on taverns, inns, and places of commerce. There's also another one about the North (which in 5e would be considered the northern part of the Sword Coast - basically the stuff north of Waterdeep and west of Anauroch), but that doesn't seem to be available on DM's Guild for some reason. Instead there is the North boxed set (also $10 on the DM's Guild) which covers the same area in a more "academic" manner.
These books all detail the regions mentioned in the 2e era, which is about a century before the 5e material, but it's not like your players are going to notice unless they're deeply invested in Realmslore.

There is a really fantastic map of Waterdeep in Dragon Heist.
