Would you allow one in your game? if so how would you go about the rp wise would you say they have to stay out because they can't fit into he door? or would you say all doors they can fit into? My biggest issue is trying to figure out to ignore the size of their big ole heads for players fun or should I say no? Would hate to tell someone they can't enter the tavern to have a drink with their friends lol.
He wants to play a peaceful Loxodon barbarian who rages when people threaten his family (the group) and play the peace keeper of the group as a bear totem barbarian.
Any views or ideas on this matter since I don't want to limit freedom of choice and creativity because I love it when they come up with clever ways to deal with things.
(p.s) hate meta and power gaming but I wanna let this pass due to the rp side of it making it make sense.
Eh that really isn't an answer since you are going by your personal preference rather than answering the question of how I personally should handle the delima of size when I have no issue with MtG... even if I did I wouldn't ban it because I didn't like it since the game is for all of us although I would talk to the player about alternatives if I didn't like it.
Just wanted to know form other people who have dealt with pc's that are physically a bit bigger than a door in descriptions.
One of my favorite sci fi novels is Footfall (Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle). Basically an advanced race of elephants the size of Earth baby elephants has invaded. Great story. I like the idea of Loxodons, like the RP value, etc. They are big though and that has consequences. Eventually the group might acquire a Wand of Polymorph, but until then the Loxodon is restricted to places it can go.
edit. Reread the race description: "Loxodons stand between 7 and 8 feet tall. Their massive bodies weigh between 300 and 400 pounds. Your size is Medium."
This puts them in the same class as a Warforged Juggernaugt and a Goliath. So there should be zero issues with a Loxodon going anywhere (except for the occasional falling apart bridge).
Medium sized he should have no problem with doors or anything like that. There are the rules for squeezing, also, though they shouldn’t really come into play since he’s medium. Out of combat it wouldn’t really matter, except for the bit of slapstick comedy.
He's medium sized. This means his height from bottom of feet to top of head is within the Medium range, so at worst, he'll just need to duck a little to get through any standard-sized doorframe.
Yeah my only worry is head size lol that is a big ole head XD
There's no exception for "head size." Medium means medium, means you're good wherever you wanna go unless it's somewhere made for small sized creatures.
If a race exists in your setting and is at least somewhat common, then the world should reflect that. Doors should be wide enough for them to pass through comfortably, and chairs should withstand the weight.
If they're not common, then passing a door will be uncomfortable, but no more than passing a halfling door for a human.

This one is simple to me. I loathe MtG, so ignoring the race is as simple as “poof!” No more worries.

You're overthinking it.
I'd be more concerned about weight, rather than height.
