any adventure purchased on D&D Beyond will unlock all of the monsters that are found within the adventure, even if they aren't in the appendix of that adventure.
We didn't want a situation where someone purchased an adventure and then found, part of the way through, that they would need to make another purchase - that would be a pretty bad experience. 😀

Yes, it would be a pretty bad experience, but I needed to check, because some company don't always think about that. : )
Cheers, Max.

I really just want to see how convenient DDB is on a tablet by making this single purchase.
Any help is welcomed.
LMoP comes with the monster stat blocks relevant to the adventure (can be found in appendix B).

Strictly speaking You don't need to buy anything to "test" DDB you could run a test adventure from https://www.dndbeyond.com/tag/encounter-of-the-week As a build up to LMoP ie https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/499-encounter-of-the-week-the-road-to-baldurs-gate just relocate it to outside of Neverwinter.
Edit - Mmm... Just noticed that my suggestion (the road to baldurs gate) would require the Players hand book for searing smite to run seamlessly
