So I was DMing and I brought one of my friends to plaything it would be alright. So we start and halfway through he asked me to come over because something was wrong. I look at his character and he had a movement of 200ft and a health x2 the amount he had when we started. I ask him did he do this and he said he didn't so I ask him to send a link to my computer so I can look into it. So at the time, I didn't look too much into it but the problem was that in encounters he would use his broken stats instead of the one I told him to like your character can only move 30ft and you had 142 so don't go over. But the next day I decided to figure out what happens and so I started to look and found out the override function that he uses to break his stats. What should I do to make him use a new character or what?
Are you saying he purposely cheated his stats in a VTT or something?
If so, you need to have a conversation with him about how there is on "winning and losing" In an RPG, except that when everyone is having fun, you all win, and when people are not having fun (even just some of you) then you all lose. The fun of the game comes from the challenge, and overcoming it, and if he cheats, there is no challenge and the overcoming is automatic, so that is not fun for most people.
He's going to need to stop cheating or not play with you -- otherwise the other players will become very unhappy.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
Yep. If he has done this on purpose, he is cheating. If he is cheating, he has missed the entire point of the game.
If, however, he has somehow done this by accident, or through unfamiliarity with the tools, he just needs some help. Unless he admits to doing it on purpose, I would start with the assumption that it is a mistake and offer guidance. This "guidance" should also be there in the next session, with someone checking up on what he is doing, probably helping him to track things etc. (Incidentally, this will also allow you to check he is not cheating, but not seem like that's what you are doing)
