Hello! It's my understanding that Master Tier subscriptions are required to share content with players on your campaign, so they can incorporate (for example) classes from a sourcebook I bought into making their own characters.
Does this still apply when it comes to claiming characters? In other words, if I make a character that uses purchased content but I don't have a subscription, will a player on my campaign (not having purchased any content themselves) be able to claim and use that character? Or would this require someone having a Master Tier subscription?
I hope this made sense and thanks so much in advance for your help!
I believe the player would be able to use the character you created in the campaign regardless of the subscription level. Keep in mind the character you created would be listed under your DDB account and not the player DDB account who takes 'ownership'. That player would not be able to join a different campaign with this character you created unless it is recreated under their account.
For anyone else wondering about this, I tested it and everything seems to be working smoothly—the player can see and use the character, including the character's purchased features. :)

If other players are using your purchased content in this way, then this probably isn't the intended behaviour of the site, so it could change at any time.

No. That is how it is suppose to work with campaigns and shared content.

Once they Claim the character it becomes theirs. The PC disappears from the creator’s list of characters and is now listed under the new player’s list of characters. That new player could even leave the campaign and join a different campaign with that character, and the character should still continues to function. The only exception may be with some of the new Tasha’s content such as the class feature options or lineage options, etc.

Thank you!! That's exactly what I wanted to know. :)
Wow I had this exact same problem and I just happened to find this
I stress the point "I believe" I would test this out before you ramp up your game just in case what I said turns out to be incorrect.
