Since the pandemic started, I've been getting into minis - both WizKids prepainted and painting my own.
Trouble is, I'm trying to figure out the best way to store them - a way that balances protection with ease of access (and takes into account the varying sizes).
With prepainted plastic minis, I just stuff them in a box. I prefer sorting by creature type- one box has humanoids, one has beasts, one has monstrosities, etc. They don't really need much more than that, since heat is about the only thing that damages them.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
For transport, I've stuck magnets on the bases and then put them in a wooden box lined with thin sheet steel. They stick to the walls of the box, don't move, and so don't need foam etc around them. You just need to be certain the magnets are on there properly!
