I'm new here, actually, I've found this forum by accident, looking for a place where I could start some discussion.
As some of you may have heard, LEGO will soon release a set inspired by the D&D universe. The design of the set will be based on a fan submission as part of the LEGO Ideas initiative.
What is LEGO Ideas? This is a website where fans can post their suggestions for official LEGO sets. Each submission must reach ten thousand votes from registered users within a certain period of time, and if it succeeds, it is added to a pool from which, once every six months, LEGO selects from one to three submissions, which, after certain modifications, are released as official sets which we can see in stores.
LEGO set named DRAGON'S KEEP: JOURNEY'S END is already confirmed to be released soon. But since there is already interest in sets inspired by this universe, why not take the idea a step further?

Wouldn't it be interesting us to suggest to LEGO that there is a strong demand for an entire themed series that would give us the opportunity to get multiple minifigures of fantasy characters and creatures inspired by D&D?
Of course, this would require designing, submitting and promoting at least several D&D-themed projects.Ten thousand is not much, especially since creating an account takes less than five minutes and does not require any verification except for providing an e-mail address, but, as you know, people are often too lazy to sacrifice these few minutes, so such a plan would require appropriate organization.
And because designing a LEGO set that would be suitable for a set that would arouse the company's interest is a time-consuming process, I looked through nearly 2,500 submissions that are currently fighting to get the required number of votes and I think I have found the perfect project to start with. This is not a submission strictly related to D&D, but I think it's the best point to start our campaign :)
The project I'm talking about is named FANTASY ROLE PLAY MINIFIGURE STANDS. There are six orcs, a ballista and a huge bone wendigo. All characters stand on miniature dioramas, making them look like pawns for a figurine role play game. The character designs do not differ from the style known from D&D, and at the same time they refer to it strongly enough to make it clear that by voting for this project, we are voting for the idea behind it.
It will be some time before we see the DRAGON'S KEEP set, so until we can vote with our wallets and until none of us has designed anything better, creating an account and voting for the mentioned project is the best we can do. Especially since LEGO doesn't currently release any medieval fantasy series that would give us D&D-style minifigures.
And with this plan. Several dozen people from private groups I belong have already joined the campaign, but for the whole plan to be successful, we need to reach a wider community. There are many fans who would like to see a LEGO D&D series or at least a series unrelated to this universe with a similar premise, which would give us sets and minifigures that would allow us to create dioramas and replicas of locations known, for example, from Baldur's Gate.Any series with a premise similar to LEGO Castle, with monsters and fantastic creatures will be a step forward.
If some of you are a purists not interested in the incarnation of D&D in the form of LEGO sets, you don't have to bother replying. Don't spoil the fun for people who feel enthusiastic about this idea. And please, no ******** comments like "I don't have five minutes xDD".I don't like cluttering the discussion :)

I will try to buy some parts and design something of my own in the near future, but for now I can only share with you links to DRAGON'S KEEP:
