3D printing and tabletop gaming have been a passion of mine for a while now, so with all the positive responses around my personal work I thought I'd do what everyone else is doing nowadays and start a Patreon. This is going to allow me to focus on bringing more content which everyone can enjoy on a regular, and hopefully sustainable, schedule.
Swing on by and check out my Patreon where I'm offering early access prices on multiple tiers for the first 50 patrons! https://www.patreon.com/dcatabletop
This months package includes: Bull Centaurs, Sea Lions, My favourite little turtle traveller and many more!
3d design and character design seems to be a lot like mastering a musical instrument. Your work demonstrates a lot of skill and personal investment. Well done!
A cheeky sneak peek at some upcoming work, chosen by our patrons we have the beastly, half human, half elephant hybrid. No poachers are going to steal his tusks, he did it already.

I think I asked a similar question already but since my buddy/DM just got an Ender 3 printer, I am excited to explore purchasing once he will let me jump into printing on his machine. My possible repeat question is, how well would a gnome size figure print on an Ender 3? If you or anyone who has been following your thread knows I would love to hear. Your work is amazing and as mentioned before...I think I might be supporting your Slaad creation soon. But for now still browsing. Heading to your link now...
Your question couldn't have come at a better time. A few days ago I picked up an AnyCubic Photon resin printer and I am 100% converted. I'm going to do a more in-depth review in a few days once I've played around a bit more but I'll give you my findings.
The detail you'll get on a resin printer is faaaar beyond a traditional FMD printer, so if it's small prints you want I would absolutely start looking at something like the AnyCubic Photon or PhotonS. The only downside is that the resin is quite expensive, around $60-70 USD per Litre, but it goes a long way if you hollow out your models. The post processing takes a while, cleaning off resin/curing but I've found it to be fastly quicker than sitting and sanding down FDM prints. Something like the Ender3 is great for bigger prints, scenery/epic monsters etc. but the technology just can't compete with LCD/SLA resin prints.
I did some prints of unnecessarily small characters to show the difference, grey is my PrusaMk3, green is the AnyCubic Photon
The answer is FDM printers are great for larger terrain pieces but for really good mini printing you guys should invest in one of the cheap SLA printers. They use resin and ultraviolet light to get insane details. The "drawback" of these cheap SLA printers is their small build plate which poses no problem when printing minis.
Is the reported smell just bad while printing or constant in a final print? Do you need ventilation while printing? I am very close to making some decisions...thanks!
The prints only smell bad while printing, after they're cured the smell isn't noticeable. Ventilation is 100% recommended as the smell is an indicator or some not great fumes generated during the curing process. While printing the printer should be in a ventilated space.
Or some people have modded their printers to attach a duct to the back which they can direct out of a window etc.
It's spooky season which means this month includes some spooky skeletons/mutated abominations, and some Angelic guards to hold back those forces of evil. https://www.patreon.com/dcatabletop
The total list includes: Angelic Guards Silent Abominations Skeleton Knights Faun Elder Ruined Archway Modular Signposts
For the keen eyed patrons among you, you might have realised that this month I didn't put out a poll for the following month's content. This is because December will be the last month for content through this Patreon.
My 9-5 job has really taken off and it's time to take advantage of the opportunities that will bring so unfortunately I can't afford the time to continue running my monthly content. It's been a great 6 months and I thank all of you who have contributed, so for the month of December instead of the regular 4 Monsters and 2 Props, I'll be giving away 8 monsters! (Content will still be available across various online stores).

The problem with printing Giant Toad miniatures is that they just look like regular toads...
