I, like a lot of people, have a problem with hoarding dice. So my question is does anyone have an efficient and uh... aesthetically pleasing way of storing dice? Currently I have mine in nasty clear plastic bins and it's really not doing them justice.
I know this kind of misses the mark on this forum but I think 'Arts&Crafts' has the most creative people :)
I have a toolbox that I carry around. It's funny because my father in law knows that I don't really do much in the way of fixing things around the house but he's seen me walk around with a toolbox before. Little does he know it's filled with dice, mini's and books. The toolbox comes with enough small spaces that I use to fit my dice.
Small dice bags are a great way to keep your sets together but not in one huge jumble. They can be very inexpensive, even easy enough to make yourself! And you can get them in all sorts of patterns/colors to fit your aesthetic.
I've also invested in a few nice dice boxes for the couple of sets I use all the time. I especially enjoy the Wyrmwood square box I have as it's small enough to be easily portable, displays nicely, and fits 2 sets of dice which is more then I need most of the time.
What I routinely tote to sessions (though I fear I'm outgrowing it) is a soft-sided pencil case that holds four full sets in their plastic boxes, plus 2+ sets of loose dice on top of those (plus a few actual pencils). I'm always prepared for anyone who might show up without a set (or might just need a spare of any type, or want to borrow one while putting their own in Dice Jail). Also I'm just a dragon who loves a big ol' hoard of different colored dice to play with...
I was in a similar boat to you OP. I keep my dice in a clear plastic tackle box with lots of little compartments for each type.
How I got over the aesthetic was to line the bottom with felt (to keep them from rattling around so much) and to fill the inside lid with as many stickers as I could get my hands on.
Now my players love it when I crack open the box because they get to see all the strange new stickers that accompany every session!

I don't think it matters how you store something (i.e. you're not bringing those tubs to the table, right?). What matters is what is brought to the table:
As DM, I provide an open (easily accessible) container full of selected high-contrast (easily-readable) dice for my players.
This container is often thematic: like tankards, crystal bowls, PotC dice-game cups, etc.
Extra dice that I'm not using are stored elsewhere, in a plastic bin.
Players that don't wish to use the dice I provide (which is most of them) bring their own dice in a dice bag.
I have a Vaultz pencil box, that I use for storage and dice rolling. I wanted to find one where the hinge was exactly in the middle, so I could open it, store my dice, etc in one side, and then roll them in the other side. Had to add layer of fabric covered chipboard into the "roll" side, because it was a bit too bouncy.
I keep my dice in dice bags, for the most part - the main set of 6; then a larger one with multiples of d6, d8, d10; and then a bag with 6 metal d20s I have. Those, a pen or two, and my Deck of Illusions, fit nicely inside the box.
I found a dice bag with pockets on Etsy. It was ~$20 if I remember correctly. The thought behind this was to separate the dice into each type so I can easily find whatever kind I'm looking for. I currently have at least 15 full sets of dice in it and it keeps them all separate, except sometimes when I open it up and a d12 might spill into the d20s.

Thanks in advance!

I too hoard dice and use the following storage options -
As a player I use a dice tray I found on Amazon. It lets me store my most frequently used sets and a couple of loose single d20s - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JBPPS6P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also use this bag and it holds a TON of a dice - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KCYSSRK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Then for more storage and for my home "D&D Den" I found an Etsy user that created a pretty good oak box that looks like a mimic.
Is it no longer fashionable to carry all of one's dice around in a Crown Royal bag like we did back in the 80s?
"Not all those who wander are lost"
I went to google what a Crown Royal bag was and got sucked into a rabbit hole of bizarre clothing choices involving Crown Royal bags... What a life
