So I am in the market for a 3D printer to use for various projects, primarily to print minis though. I don't know a great deal about 3D printers so I was hoping some of you fine folks could give me some pointers. My budget is $500 bucks and I think from my limited knowledge I should be looking at filament printers versus resin ones but again not really sure.
I would appreciate any insight you fine folks can offer.
If you want high detail minis, your best bet is to get a low-cost resin printer such as the Anycubic Photon. It is about 300 - 400 USD and can achieve amazing quality prints. However, resin prints take longer to print and require more post-processing, as well as having smaller build volume. I highly recommend it.

Thank you, that's one I had on my short list of recommended printers so far.
