I understand for normal scenarios play by post style how to calculate DM XP, since they include the "expected hours". What about HC pbp games without such a reference? How is DM XP calculated for a PbP version?
It's a tough question to answer (I'm actually not sure what HC is). You might be able to contact someone HERE that could tell you. Since there are not any rules for A.L. PbP games, my guess is that you'd have to figure it out with your group or for yourself. Maybe after 1 week (real time), you could just say you've all completed the equivalent of a "session" and can give out awards that way.
HC=hardcover. Like running a chapter of Storm King's Thunder or Out of the Abyss. In a real tabletop game, the hours are simply the hours you play. In an online scenario, the hours are the expected hours. But I couldn't find info for an online hardcover game that lacks the "expected" hours.
I will try that site, thank you!

Or does anyone know where else I might ask this question?
