Rather than make a new thread I'll ask this in here. As I understand it, using the background tables starting on pg. 62 of Xanathar's Guide doesn't violate PHB +1 while using a different sourcebook. Am I correct?

Yes. PHB+1 refers to subclass, race, spells and feats. Backgrounds do not fall under the rule.
is Dragonlance adventures considered a PHB+1 eligible reference book? thanks
It is not. I have no knowledge of its existence, therefore it is either unofficial or from a previous edition, therefore it is not AL-legal.

Tooltips (Help/aid)
Only official Wizards 5e products. Dragonlance is a previous edition so does not qualify.
