Hey all! I own a fair amount of digital source books, and the AL rules that I'm using to create my character says I can only utilize 1 book in addition to the basic rules and the PHB. I want to use XGtE as my +1, but it's super tedious to have to go through and sift out what's from each book in order to know what is "legal" for me and what's not (I know it's a bit of a whiney request but it almost defeats the purpose of having the digital tool set).
I saw the drop down box for the character races, but is there a way to restrict (sub)classes, spell lists, feats, etc. as well?
This is planned to be supported soon (this year maybe), but not currently automated. You will just have to double check the source of everything for now (it is mostly spells you have to worry about and they say the source in the description).

Thanks. I just bought the Bundle and I am AL DM. I was looking to set up my account and devices just for AL.
The Current Season is 9. It will end around Sept 17 but don't quote me. Season 9 allows you at level 5 to have plane touched wings. You must create the PC DURING SEASON 9 But don't have to run Season 9 content. Aasimar at 5th level replace Light bearer & 3rdlevel racial trait for wings 30 speed no heavy armour. Tiefling at 5th replace Inferal Legacy trait. See page 6 AL players Guide ver 9.2
Is it still planned? I didn't found that feature... It would be really great specially with sourcebook of different "origine" like FR vs critical role or Rick and Morty etc...

The rules applicable to the creation of AL characters change each season. At the moment there are just a Forgotten Realms campaign, an Eberron campaign and the Mist Hunters special campaign. The current rules for the Forgotten Realms campaign no longer have the PH+1 rule and Tasha's has been added as an option so character creation for AL is a lot less restrictive which makes having a feature limiting sources in D&D Beyond somewhat less attractive in terms of expending resources on creating it.
That said, I don't know what the status of this feature is in D&D Beyond and whether they are working on creating an option to specify the sources that can be used for the creation of any specific character. I haven't seen anything like that so far.

Perfect, thanks! Good to know that I wasn't missing something!
Wait wait wait, are you trying to tell me you are seeking a way to negate the chance to get bonuses & extra elses by reading books ???
My Ready-to-rock&roll chars:
Dertinus Tristany // Amilcar Barca // Vicenç Sacrarius // Oriol Deulofeu // Grovtuk
No. It is a rule in adventurers league. You can't build a character using mote than the PHB and 1 other book.
So for example and aasimar divine soul sorcerer is not allowed because aasimar are from VGtM and divine soul is from XGtE.
Ahhh, ok.
Aw'righty, great Lord of Handbooker Helper, xD

I believe that the aasimar and tiefling variants are allowed, without it being a plus one.

No Gaming is Better than Bad Gaming.
Aasimar yes, Winged Tiefling variant yes, other Tiefling variants no. And those exceptions are only active for the current season at the moment.
What's the current season ???
