Masters of None: 0th-Level Characters is now just 15 copies away from Copper bestseller status! Here's a link to the 16-page supplement now on sale for the low price of $3.36 (15% off!) on DMs Guild:https://dmsguild.com/product/352719/Masters-of-None-0thLevel-Characters…. Congrats in advance...but I'm surprised you're that close tbh...couple things:
You're giving the entire thing away for free with your fullpage preview.
$4 for 16 pages ($0.25/page) is (in my opinion) super expensive. You're charging more for a homebrew than what WotC's charges for most professional, vetted content.
Pretty sure using an affiliate link on your own pub doesn't actually give you a greater cut?

Hey, thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to check out my product!
I want my customers to know what it is they're buying before they commit to making a purchase. That's why I provide a preview with full disclosure of the book's contents. They shouldn't have to pay to see what's inside.
According to my research, the $3.95 price tag is comparable to similarly sized products on DM's Guild.
Honestly, I don't know what the affiliate link is for. I just used the "copy link" function from the product's page. Perhaps you'd like to educate me on a better practice?
hi, fair enough approach. And hey, if your price point works, great.
On the affiliate link - if I like someone else's product on my own blog, web page, or whatever, I can use my affiliate ID at the end of the link to their product. When someone then purchases the product using that link, I get a commission..a cut of DMSGuild's 50% share (not actually sure what the % is as I've never done it and they don't declare it on their website, but lets say its 5%).
So when you're adding your own affiliate ID to your own product, you're effectively trying to get a 55% royalty, which I'm pretty sure doesn't work (but haven't tested - I suspect someone at DMSGuild would have thought of this trick by now). Although now that I'm typing this outloud, I suppose you could use a friend's affiliate ID or an alt ID's affiliate ID when promoting your own stuff to get that 5% to where you wanted it.
When you create a product, you really get two workable links: i) ending at the product number and ii) ending at the product title (and keep in mind, you can change your product title).
just downloaded and wow, i absolutely love this concept! actually bridging the gap between common folk and level-1 adventurers through gameplay, rather than leaving it to the players to figure out in backstory, is such a fun idea. of course, some players love writing wild backstories and might not be into it, but i know plenty of people who'd rather see that journey at the table (myself included). thanks for a great supplement!

imo, you should put this review on dmsguild too....its stupid hard to get people to put reviews on dmsguild for whatever reason. give it a rating as well.

Thanks so much for the kind words and for supporting my work! It's true that reviews and ratings seem hard to come by on the Dungeon Masters Guild.
I wanted to let everyone know that a new version of Masters of None: 0th-Level Characters has just been uploaded to Dungeon Masters Guild! Ability score determination and customization have been revised for both general and exceptional characters, and Ability Score Increases earned at scholar and master scholar rank have been improved! This 16-page Copper bestseller is still a steal for just $3.95!

So you are building a Guidebook for those persons who wants to create a character directly from its beginning. It's a good idea thou.
My Ready-to-rock&roll chars:
Dertinus Tristany // Amilcar Barca // Vicenç Sacrarius // Oriol Deulofeu // Grovtuk
Thanks! and yes, that's about right. You start with a background but little else. The rules cover working your way up to 1st level from there.

ii) https://www.dmsguild.com/product/352719/Masters-of-None-0thLevel-Characters
if you went in and edited the title name to say "Masters of 0thLevel Characters", you would now have a third link to your product:
iii) https://www.dmsguild.com/product/352719/Masters-of-0thLevel-Characters. They don't delete link (ii) when you update your title name (which I think is great), so now you have 3 working links to your product.
