This is a 34 page supplementary set of rules for using the Herbalism Kit in D&D 5e. It contains:
86 different herbs, fully fleshed out with their own unique benefits
An easy and intuitive system that requires little to no knowledge to use right away
Lists of herbs found in each environment
Prompts to help you develop and roleplay your herbalist fantasy
A catalogue of herbs that can be found and used on D&DBeyond for your convenience
I've provided lore and a bunch of other useful information about each herb, but it is designed to be easy to use without diving deep into all that stuff. A player can pick it up, read the one-pager on the four new features from the herbalism kit, and then consult the tables provided for each environment to figure out what they can find.
I've used a more simple version of the system around my table for several years now, and my players love it, so I hope others will find it useful and fun too :)
Here's an example of herb descriptions, with small prompts to encourage roleplaying.
And here's a preview of the herb lists, one for each environment in the game.
Can't wait to see if it goes anywhere, and even if it don't, I now have a very cool fully fledged out system for herbalism at my table :D
Thanks for having a look!
