I'm looking for recommendations for one shot adventures for a party of players that are a mix of brand new or relatively new. Attention spans can be a little deviating at times so something that balances flowing adventure and fun story telling with a few dice rolls and a healthy dose of combat. Was thinking of House of Death? But any on DMs guild that I may of missed?
I'm a fan of The Mad Manor of Astobar, but it is definitely more puzzles than combat. ALSO, if you do play that adventure, I would tone down some of the treasure. As written, it gives some pretty potent magic items to low level characters.
The Sun Goes Down with a Ruby Smile. It's combat light, which is good for low levels. It's a murder mystery that doesn't feel railroady. You can discover the clues out of order and it still works. The story is kinda sad, but I've run it 3 times and each group loved it. Best money I ever spent on DM's Guild.
First I ever ran was called Wizard in a Bottle. Good low level dungeon, fun/optional RP situations to play after the main adventure. Highly recomended.
http://slyflourish.com/fantasticadventures/ Cannot recommend it highly enough! An evening of set up, investigation, conflict, and resolution in each one that is extremely satisfying.
