Not too long ago, I published a template for adventure planning, running games and worldbuilding over on the Dungeon Masters Guild. At first the template consisted only of samples and guidelines on how to organize your work in such a way that you are able to quickly compile, navigate and process your content. Since then I added alot more to the template such as spells and magic items with cross links on both templates and even stat blocks for monsters in the Scrivener template which are in the works for the OneNote template as well.
I received alot of positive feedback on both of these templates so maybe it works for you as well. Both templates are Pay What You Want so you can pick them up and give them a look for free. If you would like to comment or give me your feedback on how the templates might be improved or which content you personally miss, feel free to contact me on the Dungeon Masters Guild website, in this thread or via E-Mail. I'm sure to read every bit of critique and give it a thought.
I noticed that Onenote lists me as the author of a few of these pages dating back to edits around 2015/2016, so I'm guessing this template is sourced from v 1.0 of my own public notebook?
If so, you should really check out the current version (3.1) as it already contains the full SRD, complete with formatted monster stat-blocks, every entry is page referenced across the different sources (PHB, Basic Rules, and SRD v5.1), content is updated to current errata corrections, and everything is fully hyperlinked and formatted. All completely free with no suggested price.
Hey there! I'm a bit confused which parts could list you as an author since the template was created not too long ago with my Scrivener template as source material - which in turn uses the D&D Beyond "Basic Rules" database. However, I did use your template a long time ago but altered it for my own campaign notes. So maybe there are still some references OneNote linked to you from that? Could you point me to where these references are so I may double check what happened?
Nevertheless, I highly recommend checking his template out, which is a great source if you like the style!
Hey SnizzleLive... you can turn on "Show Authors" in OneNote, that should let you see which references are still being used by the original source.
Either way, if you based your work off someone else's (even if you've modified it), I think it's only fair you give MichaelT credit for his original work in your description.
Thank you very much for the information. I am still somehow on a complete loss as to how these references came to be, since the template was created from scratch using my own documents, but I will of course remove all these references. In addition I would very much like to link your template, MichaelT, in the description of the DMsGuild page as well as the template itself. Even if I build this from the ground up, your template was a huge inspiration for some of the pages I created and I admired your work even before I started creating my own documents. We are, after all, just trying to provide a better experience for all the other DMs out there which should see for themselves which template and which style they prefere.
This is going to be a silly question but OneNote is so annoying with cutting and pasting. I'm wanting to use the Template and transfer my current campaign into it. However, I can't get OneNote to cut and paste and actually pull the information. I also haven't had any real luck in finding the information on users guide for OneNote.
How do you recommend someone who wants to use the template actually transfer the information if they have existing information to make use of it.

Here are the links to both Templates:
I hope the templates will safe you some work and be a great help for your D&D endavours!

MichaelT - This sounds awesome! How can I get a copy?
Hello I just downloaded this in Scrivener 3. I have not used Scrivener before, do you have instructions on how to load the template? TIA.
That worked for me in Scrivener 3 for Windows.

The Scrivener template is not available anymore.... Do you have a copy you can make available on a google drive, dropbox or something?
The Link doesn't work anymore. The OneNote still downloads the Scrivener templetes.
