Hello, have any of you been able to use an animated gif as a cover image on dmsguild? I'm trying to upload an animated gif for a document cover (there's a picture of a fire on the cover and i animated the fire for gee-whiz purposes). However, once its uploaded, it just displays a still image of one portion of one frame (just part of the flame). I've never tried an animated gif before and I'm suspecting its either something wrong with my file (works fine in chrome and firefox though if i open it straight from there), or for some reason they allow gifs but not animated gifs.
Hmm, didn’t know there was such a thing as an animated png. Lol.
pretty sure it has something to do with their compression after upload, if I make it a much smaller file, there’s still no animation, but at least it shows the entire picture instead of just part of the flame.
[edit] neither apng nor webp are acceptable upload formats.

That is a gif. Have you tried a webp or an animated png?
