I'm just now getting back into Dungeons & Dragons after having been away from gaming for at least 8-9 years now. I'm getting my head wrapped around 5e, and love all the supplements and materials I'm finding here, but I wonder . . . have there been attempts to convert some of my favorite 3.5 materials to 5e, and if so, would it be something I'd find here in the Dungeon Master's Guild?

I have done this for a couple of spells.  So far my favorite was "Write"

As I go through my old 3.5 books, I look at books like Tome of Magic or Ghostwalk, and wonder about whether or not these could be converted to 5e. (I have fond memories of playing a Truenamer back in the day!)

I try to stick to the general theme of the spell, making it useful, but adjusting for 5e rules.
