If you need to protect a VIP area, especially one of magical power, here's an idea. If you follow an authorized person in, you will appear to gain entry, but then they round a corner and disappear. You check around the corner but it's a dead end. They're gone. You look back, but nothing looks the same as when you entered. You take wrong turns and feel like you're going around in circles, but nothing looks familiar. You have been trapped in a magic maze. How will you get out?
Mmm... think the classic way is either chalking an area id before you advance to the next magical reshuffle or fastening rope string in an area before advancing again with the hope that you can find some form of logic/pattern behind the relocation

“It cannot be seen, cannot be felt, Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt, It lies behind stars and under hills, And empty holes it fills, It comes first and follows after, Ends life, kills laughter.” J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
