I'm making a big campaign where I'm going to allow the players to go wherever they want from where they start and so I'm looking for a program that will allow me to web out the possible events. anyone know of anything like this because my searches pull up nothing (or I'm just searching the wrong things).
World Anvil (faq) is a new tool that's coming out and has gotten lots of praise for this type of thing; caveat being that either you pay a monthly subscription ($3 minimum it looks like) or you need to make your work public. I haven't used it; I've just heard good things.
I've seen some people using OneNote to great success for this purpose. Nice thing is that you can get some cloud syncing too in case you move devices frequently for DMing.

Twine is fantastic. It's also how they made the intro to Firewatch if you've ever played it.
