I'm looking to run a 10-20 episode campaign that is based on the board game Jumanji! The idea is to have a group of regular modern day kids who stumble upon the board game and are teleported into a dense jungle/rainforest. I was hoping y'all could help me come up with some fun ideas to implement into the game. Here are some basic things that I've come up with as an example:
The party encounters a cannibalistic tribe
Fights with giant hippos, lions, dinosaurs, venus fly traps, etc.
The classic dangling bridge over a raging river
Jungle temples
Riding tigers to outrun a flock of pterodactyls or a mid air fight while riding pterodactyls
The party finds an air ship that needs repairs
Broken compass that leads to nothing (or does it??)
What ideas have worked well for your players in a jungle setting?
I would suggest skimming through the Tomb of Annihilation book if you have access to it. There are tons of very Jumanji-like encounters and adventures to be had within those pages, including (but not limited to):
A goblin village built on a giant net-trap tree-catapult system, so that it can be flung across the jungle if the goblins want to move the village or are attacked by dinosaurs.
A tower-village populated by bird-folk monks who arguably safeguard or keep prisoner a child they claim to be the rightful heir to all of Chult.
A stretch of river basin that is home to a tribe of lobster-men.
A grung settlement where their despotic ruler forces the frogs to build a mighty mud tower in hopes that it will attract a goddess he can mate with.
An ancient walled garden, now home to a medusa who keeps toxic flowers.
A jungle bay, inhabited by a giant sea-turtle with a glimmering crystal shell.
A crashed airship lodged deep within the jungle canopy.
And so on. Honestly, if you cut out the last bit of the adventure, ToA would make for a really good Jumanji game.

I dont know what Jumanji is, but here are some jungle D&D suggestion thingies:
PS. You should probably have a big bad guy who leads most of the villains if you want a connected plot
Edits: Adding more ideas.
BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!

NGL, I dont watch very many movies, mostly D&D gameplay such as Nights of Eveningstar, Highrollers DnD, and Critical Role.
(I looked up Jumanji and that's how I know it's a movie).
