Can’t find this question so just thought I’d ask it here. Alyxian at the end of course fights in 3 forms and each form has 2 legendary resistance. So does he get only 2 legendary resistance or does it reset after each time he dies and “resurrects”?
It’s been four years since you asked this, and I’m assuming you already ran the encounter making whatever call you did. I’m about to run it, though, so maybe my answer can help someone else with the same question.
For my money, each of his forms is a distinct creature with its own stat block. Therefore, each form is completely separate from the one before it and would have full use of any and all abilities, even ones repeated from stat block to stat block. If you ignore each form still being Alyxian, this encounter is no different than the PCs fighting three individual monsters with Legendary Resistance in a row.
Hope this helps!
