Hello, some of my close family want to try playing again, but all of the Adventuring books ask for 4 players. Mines of Phandelver, is a bit too basic for everyone but I don't know any adventuring books with a good mid-ground. The three I was looking at were Princes of the Apocalypse, Ghosts of Saltmarsh, and Out of the Abyss, but I'm open to any suggestions. I would also like a suggestion on how to balance said adventure. Thanks for the help in advance.
Of your choices, I'd recommend Ghosts of Saltmarsh for its individual adventures that you can run and not have to deal with 200+ page campaign book. As you said your family wants to try playing again so start small and see how they enjoy playing. Also, if you like Ghosts of Saltmarsh I'd recommend Tales of the Yawning Portal for other 'bite-size' adventures.
