Does anyone have any good resources for side adventures I can use to pepper in along my campaigns main plot line as the party travels around? I'm not talking about one shots, I have plenty of those, but side adventures that are a little more in depth than that, maybe have 2-3 steps or "chapters" to them, but not to the degree of a full campaign? I've seeded in a few clues and items for my party as secondary quests they can do along their journey and I am trying to flesh those out.
For example one of my players needs to acquire a mind flayer head to satisfy a debt they incurred. I don't want to just throw a one shot "you hear about a mind flayer, enter his lair and fight him" at them, I want them to have a bit of an adventure with it, have a bit of a storyline to it, but also don't want to spend the next six months diverted from the parties main adventure pursuing this side goal.
I've tooled around a bit on DMG and found a few, but most things seem to be one shots or full blown full length adventures. Maybe I am just not using the right key words or something. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!
