So I'm in the process of writing a short campaign where the players will ultimately have to do the Fight a Ancient Chromatic Dragon as one does. Notably I'm thinking of using a Blue Dragon. The Setting is a worlds faire type metropolis and the theme of the campaign is "Things are not always what they appear to be".
One of the NPC's will be a Polymorphed Amethyst Dragon who presents herself as the leader of a Artisans guild and a prominent courtesan/ "It girl" of the kingdom she resides in. I think it would be a little funny to have the Blue dragon enthralled with the Amethyst NPC and try to Woo her weather it be romantic in context or purely a 'Im interested in her power' or a little bit of both. The players are going to be interacting with the Amethyst dragon quite a bit as one character quite literally works for them and I need some vaguely strange or messed up ideas on how a Blue dragon would attempt to impress someone.
If you base it off the description of blue dragons in dnd then you are going for things that are very vain and that get other people to do their dirty work. so ...
kidnapping a famous artist to make a statue or painting of themselves as a gift
sending a kobold to go and serenade them
They also have a bit of power over illusions and mirages so they may present a false self with illusions
