Help Creating A Rune System

So I've Been DMing For I While And I've Always Wanted To Use A Rune System But I Don't Really Know How, Any Tips?

Just treat them like any normal magic item. It's not a magic rock that boosts your attack, it's a rune that boosts your attack.
